Outside of phone calls and TV, and the minimal interaction with a random grocery clerk or gas station attendant, this forum is my "outside world" contact, this past 10 months......and I thank goodness (and y'all !) for it daily.
I so long for a shot of tequila with my bass-player and lead-guitar player longtime buddies in the Grape Street Bar and Grill or the Bella Union, (local watering-hole/restaurants with music venue,where I know the bartenders and waitresses, as well as the owners, & that I worry about surviving this stretch), just before they start the first set and I know the crowd will be copacetic, if not old friends, as well.
Hope springs eternal, right ?

Catfish, I don't go to the attic, dont have access to it. I haven't subscribed to it, don't want it.The post was in the first section, upcoming topics, about the 3rd to 6th item down. It's not there now, no offence here, it just struck me odd, a political post on a fishing site. Possible admin mistake IDK, dont care. I didn't INTENTIONALY come up to the Attic. By the way I didn't v**e Democrat. Dont like the direction a lot things are going. Keep fishing DEEJAY is not offended.

What do you do if you have a fish that is bigger than your rod is supposed to handle?
I use 4 to 10# line depending, on water color at night for walleye. My PB was 13 1/2 # let your rod fight the fish, set the drag right the line and rod can handle the pressure unless the fish gets into something in the water, anything it can wrap around. Keep fishing. DEEJAY

Got waders and I'm looking for a shoe for them
I used to use a pair of high top sneakers, be sure to tape the tops to keep gravel, sand and other undesirable objects out. Keep fishing. DEEJAY

How to Fix Uneven Line
Continued ,the side for a thiner shim, depending on how much wear the pall or worm is worn. If you get to thick the pall will drag in the worm. Oil the worm regularly will help keep from wearing. Keep fishing

How to Fix Uneven Line
Check the pall and worm gear. If it stops and then starts again either one could be worn. It could also be the worm gear has some debris at the edge. Clean the worm gear if it stll does it take the cap off of the pall and put a very thin shim inside it. I use a drink can to make them. Use a hole punch, 1/8or 3/16. You can use the top for thicker shim or rhe sideDor a thiner

Then i would have to shoot someone. I put the brush in as the lake level starts to rise, dont have a problem with burning anymore, when it's covered if you don't already know where it is other people have a hard time finding it. I very seldom see others fishing there. Another method i see is dock owners attach Christmas trees with a rope to the bottom of the dock, then tie a weight to the bottom of the tree to hold it standing up. Put several around the perimeter it will hold a lot of crappie, just replace the trees as they deterioate. Keep fishing. DEEJAY

Questions on brush piles for dock
In fall and winter when the lake is at winter pool I drive 1/2 metal fence post on the spot i want to the brush pile to be. When the lake starts to fill in the spring I tie the materal to the post. If no one pulls it out it will stay there several years. If the soil around the post erodes just drive the post deeper. Each year you can add materal to it. I made the mistake of putting one where there was a lot of bank fishing
And someone burned the brush when the water was low. Keep fishing. DEEJAY
