Tim is a great comedian and uses his guitar in most of his skits. I heard him a few years ago and am always looking for his next post. Came across this one and it blew me away with his guitar playing and the way he mixed the two songs together. Thought Y'all would enjoy it as much as I did. Hope you enjoy. Gordon
Thanks Gordon!!
Awesome Awesome Awesome 😎👍👍
Comedian Tim Hawkins shares what it would sound like if The Eagles did a cover of “Amazing Grace”. Tim wrote this song as a tribute to the late Glenn Frey and I think it is awesome. If you are a fan of The Eagles and like the song Amazing Grace then I think you’ll like how Tim combined them into one song. If you want to hear another classic song from Tim listen to him sing about Old Rock Stars.

Hello, I am wanting to go to the white bass run areas around Austin (Canyon Lake - Grainger- Pedernales - others). Will use kayak or bank. Have always heard of white bass run, bit never been in right place at right time. Age 69, so looking to connect sooner than later! Anyone have suggestions? Thank you,

Dan, you should check out the Colorado river above and below Lakes Buchanan and Inks. Every year fishermen anticipate the sand bass run. Keep checking the fishing reports for that area. Also check out Lake Travis in the river above the lake and below the lake. Best of luck😎👍

That was an awesome video. That’s the biggest reason I won’t live north of the Red River. I have busted my bohiney on ice before and it happens so fast there’s no stopping it. Thanks for the video.😎👍

RJ, Blood Meridian was written by Cormack McCarthy. I think I’ve read all of his books. He’s a fascinating writer 😎👍

I’m reading Empire of the Summer Moon right now and it’s following the rise of the Rangers and the decline of the Comanches. I would highly recommend it . By S.C. Gwynn

Altabell, I think you’ll find Empire of the Summer Moon a very good read about the Comanches, the settlers, and the Rangers. The book affords your glimpse into the Texas frontier during the early 1800’s to 1880. There is no doubt about the extreme brutality of the Comanche warrior. There is also no doubt about the Comanches helping the Rangers invent police brutality. In the early 1800’s the Rangers were responsible along with diseases for wiping out the Karawanka Indians along the gulf coast because the white settlers feared them and wanted them exterminated. During the time between 1850 and 1880 several ex Rangers enjoyed the profitable scalp hunting in Mexico. The governor of Chihuahua paid a bounty of 100$ for a warriors scalp, 50$ for an Apache or Comanche woman’s scalp, and 25$ for an Indian child’s scalp. These scalp hunters killed many Mexican men, women, and children and scalped them as well since the Mexicans black hair looked just like an Apache or Comanche scalp.
For further reading on this matter is Cormack McCarthy’s “Blood Meridian”

The season’s opening trip was terrific in Laguna Ojo de Liebre! There were many whale moms and babies and mating trios to see. Of course, they were still a bit shy, but we saw a bit of everything – breaching, spy hopping, courtship, and those cute little newborns! I’d say we saw about 30 whales in front of our camp.
Bajabites, you are fortunate to be able to see the whales migrating through your area. It’s a very rare occasion for us on the third coast to see any whales. My one and only time to see some close was off of Punta Mita on the Mexican Pacific and I was duly impressed 😎👍

How’s everyone doing during this Long Winter? I was wondering if anybody ever heard that taking bananas on a boat is bad luck for fishing, we were in St. Thomas on a charter boat and we packed a few sandwiches and we had bananas also. Well the captain had a fit about bananas on his boat about it brings very bad luck, I never heard that in all my fishing days. Did any of you ever hear about that ? Tight lines to all.

Not only bananas but bringing some kind of fish, like tuna fish sandwiches is taboo also😎👍

And Crosby was a founding member of the Byrds. All together now. . . "Hey mister tambourine man play a song for me."

A friend of mine returned my old Alvarez 12 string to me after 25-30 years. It was in pretty bad shape. I brought the bow in the top back down by placing a small container of water inside the body and sealed it off. I then placed some heavy weights on the top and waited patiently. When the water absorbed into the top framing I left it for a couple of weeks and it straightened out the bow. I put on new strings last November and tuned it up. My first song I played was “Mr. Tambourine Man”. It’s been many years since I played a 12 string and the sound blew me away. I still have it and still play it occasionally 😎👍

Please share the latest fishing report for Port Aransas Texas

JJ, it’s been kinda slow for me until this evening. My wife and I caught 9 specks most were undersized but we did have fresh fish for dinner. I fished last Sunday and didn’t even get a hit. Same old thing with me when fishing on the full moon phase, nothing. A friend of mine was wade fishing the flats last week and did real good on the Redfish. He was catching them in 1.5 to 2 ft. of water. We’re getting into mid January and we should be getting the lowest tides of the year soon. When that happens look for the fish in the deeper holes, guts, and channels. Not channels like the ship channel or the ICW just anything that’s a few feet deeper than the flats. When the tide rises the fish will move back on the flats. People are starting to catch sheepshead along the jetties now so that could be an option. Best of luck😎👍
