We are so sad to share that our beloved Dad and Grandpa, Jim Cagle , passed peacefully on January 3rd. He just spent a wonderful holiday weekend with family and friends and we are so thankful he got to be with all 5 Grandkids and my brother, Patrick, and I. He was doing well and prepared a prime rib, his famous smoked ribs and cookies & candy for our holiday celebrations. We are thankful that he passed in his sleep and didn’t suffer. He was 85 years old and was loved by so many people. His priorities were his family, fishing and volunteering with Scouts. He was a volunteer in the 70/80’s and again when my boys started in Cub Scouts for the last 16 years. He helped countless kids and families as a leader. His career was as a typewriter repairman and he could fix anything. He loved teaching people to fish and was an official Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife volunteer. He was presented with the Greenwood District Award of Merit for all his work with Scouts. Having he and my mom live 10 minutes away was such a blessing. He was always there to help out when I put on events at the elementary school. His grandkids were blessed to have him as such an important part of their lives. We will all miss him greatly. There will be a Celebration of Life on January 14th, 1pm to 4pm at Son Rise Chapel at 90980 River Road.

Thanks for posting this Jeremy.
Clearly a good man who lived a good life. I’m pretty sure the big ones never get away, and nobody ever says you should’ve been here yesterday, in Heaven. I hope his family is able to mourn and have their sorrow turn to joyous memories very quickly.

Thanks for sharing this with us Jeremy and condolences to you and his family, we will be there on the 14th in spirit 🙏
Met the man but one time, as he and Jeremy were passing through Medford, on their way back up to the other end of state, after the Cali M&G. Our short meeting over lunch gave me a bit of insight as to his character, and I assure you....a really fine guy.
Rest in Peace little man, you shall be missed.

I'm sure sorry to hear that we've lost Jim. I'm sure glad that I got to fish with him at the Clear Lake M&G.
