Got to get out for a while this morning, first real fishing I've done since my dish fusion surgery. Things went pretty good, caught five, looks like they've spawned out and collected a little drift wood for a project for the wife. Feels pretty good to get back out and not worry about dropping a rod. Hands are working good again and after healing it don't feel like my head is gonna fall off. Anyway it's great to be back and just in time for night fishing.
So glad you’re back and catching those marvelous smallies. Happy for you I am….

One of the benefits I'm lovin now,
Is livin so close to my lake.
I've never been lazy,
But work's goin crazy,
And sometimes a boy needs a break.
I've heard retirement is worth the wait,
You work all your life, then quit.
But if you don't plan,
You have to work, man,
Then go fish, if just for a bit.
When mama got home, she saw me exhausted,
My clothes all dirty from stuff,
She knew what I needed,
And so I conceded,
That fishin a while was enough.
At 1st it was choppy and pollen a flyin,
The fish should be active, I thought.
But east wind was blowin,
So catchin was slowin,
But sorry I went, I am not.
One of the benefits I'm lovin now, br Is livin so ... (show quote)
It’s 2:30 in the morning and grins and happiness you brought me.

An excellent quote Wulffy but in today's world it's hard to know who to trust.
I don’t know
If it will make a difference or not Scud but in my life I trust everyone once. I have been stung badly several times but I have been taken care of too. I have a roof and food and some of the most incredible friends a man would ever want to meet, present company included. I’m not bragging or anything. I’ve been called stupid and gullible and maybe that is true but the way I look at it is that just maybe someone just needs someone to put faith in them in order to do what is right.

"This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.". It's a kid song but a challenge and a choice we have to make.
Graywulff, your light shines bright!
You are kind Joel. Thank you. There is much brightness in your mirror too my friend.

Well I tried hard. First trip to the lake produced a nice cat. The one that showed up today had a stripe down its back. Ol' Pepe Lepew got me today. 7 gorgeous hours on the lake and no fish. I might have a weak excuse since the air was 36 this morning, and the water was 56, but that's all she wrote folks
You were out on the water and sometimes that is enough. At least for me it is. The great thing about fishing is next time it will be better. 👍👍👍
