Platt River from the canoe livery downstream to the mouth has good holes til the upper river opens. Betsy River from dam in Benzonia downstream is good but gets crowded. Closer to you is the Rogue (spelling? in Rockford. Pere Marquette is good too. Different stretches have different rules so check carefully. Ive done good in Baldwin area. Good luck

My grandson has 2 left hand crank bait casters and loves them. He likes not having to change hands. I'm left handed and cast left handed so right hand cranks work perfect for me

Same here sir! Lefty and cast with left but shoot bow and other weapons rights. Eat with both though lol

Bay City Veterans Park is a good spot for perch and walleye also. Good shore spot.
I've launched at DNR at mouth before. They recently did a bunch of work there and just reopened it not too long ago. Nice and close to the bay.

At night try casting a stick bait or shallow diver by the bridges will catch fish. The street lights attract baitfish the walleye are looking for.

I can throw up to 14 footers but I put the net in my mouth. Never tried it any other way.

That's the way my wife's cousin throws his 14' with some chain in his mouth. Still has all his teeth lol.

none for me thanks. All we've gotten so far here in mid Michigan is rain. I'm good with that but bummed for the folks that bought new snowmobiles and plows.
