My son-in-law and I had a great day on the ice today. Same lake as last time, same spot. Couldn't catch a pike for nothin. BUT...I DID catch a bluegill over 11" long with a huge girth along with several 8 and 9 inchers. 20 keepers and about as many smaller ones. My son-in-law caught several bass around 18" as well. I can't explain why we didn't get pics of the bass. Lol.

Dave . . . Nice 'gill. I haven't ice fished for years, but here's something to try. If you catch a smaller gill or perch, set it up as a pike bait 2 or 3 feet below where you're catching the larger ones. It just might work. I've got a theory why, but it's probably just baloney, but give it a shot. Good Luck.๐Ÿ€

Superb day on the ice Dave! Great photo spread and we'll just use our imagination on the bass! Sounds like a fish fry is what happens next!

Fredfish, thank you! We still can't believe that we didn't get pictures of the bass but the fish were biting so good we didn't want to stop for ANYTHING. Lol.
