Looks delicious Mike. I would say enjoy the fruits of your labor, but it’s not really labor is it? 👍😎

REGRETS ??..... LMAO on the very thought of FISHING being one.

Have others....... like the 2 ex-wives, buying a Land Rover, giving in to peer pressure and buying an expensive baitcaster setup.... that now sits gathering dust, skinny jeans (just like a cheap hotel....no ballroom), ordering the "yellow curry"..... that was supposed to be the mildest thing on the menu, spending 4 years getting a pre-med degree I've never used.

My list could go on a bit, but FISHING (and buying boats and gear) will never be on it.

Great response FixorFish! Now you have me LMAO!👍😎

Way to go out there! Hopefully your Indiana work projects are as complete as they need to be so you can check that off the "to do " list! Enjoy your Winter season down South!

Thanks Yak! The “to do” list is never empty though. I’m married! LOL!👍😎

Nice post Barry. Thanks for sharing. Love to catch Sheepshead.

Thanks Gordon! I’ve been watching the stage all summer with a small touch of jealousy. Indiana projects are all minor next year so I’ll be able to do some bassin’ when I go back. I like the sheep’s to, especially when you tie into a big one. I never keep one under 18 inches. They have such a large gullet that you just don’t get enough meat to justify killing them. Tight lines buddy.😎

Hit the bay for the first time in almost 3 months. I spent the Summer rehabbing a lake cottage back in Indiana which will be our northern home when we visit the kids and grands.
Hit the water at sunrise on Thursday with my buddy Todd who is a veteran. We were looking for specs, but had no luck locating them. So, we started fishing the docks and caught a mess of mangrove snapper shorts. Tossed them back to grow up. Then we caught a few sheepies. Here’s a few pics from the morning. Great to be back on the water.

some ex Gis were seated around the campfire out on the lonesome prairie
and with the pride for which these men were famous, it was a night of bravado,

Big A, couldn't stand to be bested. "That's nothing! I was
walking down the trail yesterday and a 15 foot diamondback rattler slid out from

bit off its head and sucked the poison down in one gulp - didn't even get a belly ache."

Hacksaw from Texas, remained silent, slowly stirring the campfire coals with his pecker...

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm;Life isn't always fair; andMaybe it was my fault.Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.

Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
I Know My RightsI Want It NowSomeone Else Is To BlameI'm A VictimNot many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend... (show quote)

I was dismayed to hear of his passing Oz. Then I heard a rumor that members of the stage have resuscitated him, and miracle of miracles, he has fully recovered for us.

On another note, someone asked me the other day if I was concerned with the increase in artificial intelligence. I told him “No, but I am concerned with the decrease in real intelligence! 🤪😎

Made a commitment
to my buddy to hunt birds (pheasants) and bucks later in the afternoon. Shortly after my friend and coworker at the shop(Blaine) asked me if I wanted to go fishing with him and his brother. Well, I couldn’t deny my previous commitment. Birds and bucks were were a bust but the boys did pretty well on the lake.

Don’t feel too bad bk! I’m sure your hunting buddy appreciated your company. You know what they say about that bear! Better luck next time whether it’s fishing or hunting.😎
