Has anyone notice our Military is struggling to get people to join? As a former recruiter I think the problem starts from the top. Take a look at our government. Fighting among each other. Our Military is stretched thin. All the deployments know and unknown has taken a toll on our service men and women. That also includes the family. The pay is not so great honestly. True the benefits are good but you have to fight for them. I am by no means complaining. We have people deciding what to give us for a raise that doesn’t have any idea what we do or go through. Yet they can automatically v**e themselves a raise of 50%. No matter what side left or right. No one will v**e no to that. We are helping other countries before we take care of our own. Our elderly is suffering and can’t pay for medical supplies. Some countries have free medical. If America is one of the wealthiest country then why can’t we have that or something close to it. Taxes are outrageous. Yet Social Security is about to run out and people working everyday and paying taxes. This has been going on for years. So it’s not the current administration. They gave us stimulus checks but took it right back.Again I am not complaining but something just isn’t right. Each of our elected officials make over 100K a year but what have they done for us? Ok I am done.

There are a few things in play here, at least that I can think of.

First, The younger generations tend to act as if they don't like something; then they show no respect for it. They openly disagree.
Second, The military is suffering internally, trying to comply with the ever-changing moral standards. This in itself gives a less-than-favorable image.
Third, a poor example set by the commander-in-chief only undermines the military.

IMHO of course

Lately I've been studying Stoicism and considering the logic of science and knowledge ( think Spock of the original Star Trek series)
My question to all of you. Do you want me to continue with the facts, figures and Trivia questions, or they unwarranted and a annoyance, as My family feels.
I placed this topic in the Attic on purpose so that you can express your true opinions
Don't worry about offending me. Part of the philosophy of Stoicism is to be in touch with and learn how to control your feelings.

Hey CB,

I think you are a bright light on the stage, and I thank you.

I bet Thanksgiving will be fun, Huh?

Here is my "option" for you...
Be like my Dog!
He is Canadian by breed, a Labrador.
His finest quality by far is his unconditional love.
It does not matter what faults I have. He is always happy to see me.
He loves life and all the people he meets.
He especially loves armadillos.
They are slow-witted and slow-running, but they give him great pleasure.

Be kind. He is.

Please continue to contribute to the stage.

I loved the "Blond" License plate. That would make an officer seriously reconsider misdemeanor violations.

I used to live in a 3-story gorgeous home on a golf course. The cars took more damage than anything else. That and lawnmowers finding errant golf balls.

Good stuff PD and nice follow BC.

Holy Smokes!!!

That's awesome.

The length and girth are more impressive than the weight. Those babes look way more than the 30lb range.

Hey S1 are you seeing these?

Good, Good Stuff JoR!

What Trump said: he would donate the entirety of his $400,000 salary to charity each year.

What his 2020 tax returns said: zero donations to charity. (His only payments to charity were court ordered repayments for the money that he misappropriated/stole and are not deductible.)

It would make perfect sense for him to donate his income since it's taxed in a much higher bracket than his tax-sheltered investment profits.

The clowns in the house finally chose a speaker. Took them long enough. They are so far gone that a lot of us will not v**e for any republican because the extreme i***ts are taking the party over. We badly need another party.

I don't think it is an easy job, like herding cats.

Mike J. is from Louisiana, and I am hoping he has a lot of Cajun Common Sense.

Like someone said, I guess we will see.

Finally got phone fixed after company updated it. These are some from past two months. I have more pic's, but pretty much the same. Ended up with a lot of legal 14"+ and (4) 22" flounder and (1) 23". Sacalait and bass are biting now. Time to knock the dust off of all my cane poles. Ended up catching over 50 Sunday keeping 21. The biggest are on the wood block. Longest was 15". Plus Dove season is in. fish mornings hunt afternoons.

Very nice variety makes me hungry!

Thanks B123

Okay, so a bunch of BS was taken out of context and put to music? (I'm Deaf) I'm just guessing. It's funny.

What's sad is he did a better job than Obama and Biden, and morons like you think it's a personality contest.

Name one thing Biden has done that is morally correct.

How would Oregon handle 4 million indigent criminals entering their society?
How about v****g rights during a p******c? Should the laws change to accommodate mail-in v****g?
How about a******n? Should it be legal to terminate a life because it requires you to be responsible for your actions?
What exactly do you stand for?

Yeah, I get the humor, It's sad, really.

Well me and Dan decided to do a little Sunday morning fishing before football games came on the TV * it stated over a little chilly… since Dan’s a Lions Fan… really we stopped fishing about 12:30 pm and we stopped for that… lions and panthers need some help. Well the fish have moved into shallow water and Channel Marker 8A around that point to the white Shoals marker to the north held a ton of spotted bass… it was 45 minutes of crazy… all sizes, tail walking, jumping… crazy…. we lost a couple real nice ones but landed a lot of fish. There was a jerk in a green ranger that pulled up right were we were obviously heading to and if you are the idiot in that ranger bass boat reading this… me and Dan will have a big surprise for you next time… good thing it was too early for cold brews but we will be sure and give you a good old fashioned Missouri boat ride next time…

Yeah, the Outlaw Josey Wales and a Missouri boat ride....Ok... catching bait is kind of fun for a while, especially on a beautiful slow day. Yes, in Texas those are considered bait fish. Nevertheless thanks for sharing a great time.

Your new kayak sounds great, and I hope that you are rewarded often as you get a chance to go fishing in it! I'm not sure about the annual timing and presence of the fish in your region, but I'm sure that there will be something lurking in those waters to strike a lure! I think those are all brackish waters?
