Good ones Wulffy, will never forget the dreaded words “you’re it” after being tagged and hearing the questions in the pitch black darkness, “who’s it”. It was forbidden to reveal the now infected one. I’m not sure if those games still exist in this technologically driven society. What a damn shame.

I was in a bar this past weekend trying to catch a football game, there was this pro TAG on one screen. All kinds of obstacles to run around etc to evade the other person, was a team sport too.

The coldest winter I ever spent was the Fourth of July in Montana. Thanks for your post JB. You always make me homesick. I love it!!!

I remember at least one 4th that was spitting snow while watching fireworks. Next day was 90*, instant summer!

Yeah Tim, and lots of people kept the huge ones. 30, 40, 50 pounders, were a common sights in coolers then, while the smaller ones were protected. That's probably why we're in the position we're in now, with only a 3" slot length. And you wonder why no one has any faith in the fisheries management people.

Same with game management too. Here where I am seems like everything F&G does is designed to get more money out of us, under the guise of managing the numbers of whatever species. Heck we sportsmen are the ones that fund everything anyway. Ok I’ll stop whining now.lol

Hey guys. My computer isn't workin right so this is from my ph. Won't be as long.😆
Still above water, Rich, took me out on the Petaluma today.
Was a beautiful day and we caught 5 fish. Two drinks and two 20+ inchers.
We kept the 20s and then we get a hit that pops the rod holder out and the rod points straight behind the boat. Line was just screamin off the reel.
It's a wonder that I didn't loose the rod.
I get the rod out and fight a fish to the boat and it's a 30 inch, 11 pound Striper.
We couldn't believe it. We measured it, weighed it and took it's pic then released it.
That was it for the day and we were off the water by noon.
Thanks Rich for such a wonderful day. 🤠👍

Back in the day, when I had my boat in the salt, it was a 36"minimum, then in 1990 they dropped it to 28". The first slot length started in 2020.

So you could only keep the big ones? I’m no striper expert nor fish biologist, would think those are the spawned.

Had a bumper day on the river today and got a little fish slime on the thumb.
Had a great day today weather was great very little wind and they were biting. We filled up a stringer and a strap with fish today. We started out trolling size 200 bandit crank baits and caught some nice white bass some in the 2 lb range. After the sun got high we went to some back bay’s off the main river and got into the crappies. We used jig and slip bobber’s. I used a 1/16 oz jig with a red and chartreuse tube size 1.5. M buddy was using a hair jig.

NOAA had 2 ft or less in the day I picked to nail some Fatty's. They were wrong again we battled through solid 2s and managed a few nice smallys . Tough day to drop shot but it is a forecast right.

Wow very nice! Thanks for sharing and be safe out there.

11/7/23 I didn't fish very long, and I didn't catch many. But I caught some really good size bluegills With Jerry's little pan fish jig with a 2.5" Gulp Minnow on it. I laid them on the deck so you can see the size. If you have never ate a large fat bluegill, you don't know what your missing.

Aww man yes! One of the best fish, taste, fight will even rise to a dry fly. Wish I could find em like that around here. Thanks for sharing Andy.
