Hey guys. My computer isn't workin right so this is from my ph. Won't be as long.πŸ˜†
Still above water, Rich, took me out on the Petaluma today.
Was a beautiful day and we caught 5 fish. Two drinks and two 20+ inchers.
We kept the 20s and then we get a hit that pops the rod holder out and the rod points straight behind the boat. Line was just screamin off the reel.
It's a wonder that I didn't loose the rod.
I get the rod out and fight a fish to the boat and it's a 30 inch, 11 pound Striper.
We couldn't believe it. We measured it, weighed it and took it's pic then released it.
That was it for the day and we were off the water by noon.
Thanks Rich for such a wonderful day. πŸ€ πŸ‘

Great fish Saw. Looks like something tried to get it by the tail. Maybe a seal? Bet it was a nice day on the water.

Yeah, something injured it when it was younger.
It was all healed over and scales wouldn't grow over the injury.
Her tail was kinda chewed up some too, it looked like.
Was a great mornin on the river.

Thanks again for a good day on the river. Yeah the tides were not in our favor, but we still did well. We had to deal with a lot of boats that were anchored up bait fishing in some of our favorite trolling stretches, but we dealt with it. Although it’s my boat when fishing with Steve I turn the wheel over to him. He is truly the striper master! Motor flushed, boat washed and put away. Thanks again buddy. Time for a cold one!

Nice catching guys! That 11 pounder is a beauty Steve. Do you have an upper size limit, or just personal preference? Thanks for the pictures buddy.

No Fred, no upper limit. Just a personal size limit.

However, they are goin to impose a slot limit probly next year.

Wow. That's pretty skinny.
Not much leeway there.

Since 95% are over or under, you have to be pretty lucky to find your 1 legal fish per day.

Yeah, that would be hard to do sometimes I'm sure.

I know if they had that slot limit out here we would hardly ever catch any legal fish.
