I had Covid last week and this week my wife. I spent most of the week tending to her needs. I did manage to get out for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. The bite was slow but managed to catch three small bass. Unfortunately no pictures I left my phone at home

With all that said I’m looking forward to next Wednesday. A good friend and I are headed to southern Indiana to Wade a river for small mouth. Neither have fished this portion of the river. We have been told it is a great small mouth fishery. I’ll make sure I take my phone this time.

First of August ripogenu had a post about monarch butterflys and I thought this would be a good Photo of the Day to go with his post. Hope you enjoy.

Beautiful! I've heard they are on the endangered list.

Well, the big one got away and the other fish weren’t pic worthy, so no fish pics. Sorry.

I did take a lake pic, so that’ll have to do this time.

Great picture!

Those lights look awsome. Will have to get some for my boat. Will probably need to prep them for salt water.

They shine out about 30-35 ft on both sides of my boat.

Hello from Ft.Worth,Tx.
First off I enjoy this site. Keep up the great responses.
I plan on trying night fishing and need info on buying a green led battery light.
How big,how many lumens, what to look for, etc.
Academy sports here has a very limited selection, bass pro is available, but not as close, and
Amazon has a huge selection, but sometimes items are of low quality.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you bank fishing or in a boat? If to put on a boat www.superbrightleds.com has 39" strip lights that work very well, I have 2 on each side of my boat.

It has go gone so bad around here, during the day, the night would be a really bad idea, with all the gators. We really have a problem, and it is getting worse! In one yr. if you have 50 female gators, that lay 9-15 eggs, lets round out to 10. That would be an extra 500 more gators. They are now eating each other during the day, and the heat doesn't help. I use to fish at nite, but not anymore, not scared, just respect them and their territory.

We have a few here in the coves, but have not seen any out on the main lake yet.

If you can find one a wooden musky jitterbug in black is my all time favorite. On full moon I use a white one with a red head.the three 3/0 treble hooks must be sharpened to a good point. I don't know why but the tone of the wood our produces the plastic ones they use today. I've aquired about a dozen over the years through frugal shopping.

Good info!! Thanks
