Fished Lake Nacogdoches this Morning (Texas)

My first time on this lake. Started off fishing a watermelon fluke off a main lake point with hydrilla. In the first 10 minutes I got a 5-7 pounder up to the boat, but it came off as I clumsily tried to get the net that was still safely tucked away in the bottom of the boat. Note to self…. Take the time to make the net accessible from the get go!

One more 16 inch fish came pretty quick afterward… no net needed.

Other than a couple of dinks later in the morning, that was all I got. I caught the dinks on a watermelon/red worm.

I should have caught several more fish. They were very active in the morning and I missed several hits. Still was a good day.

Weather was cool and cloudy. Winds light and variable.

Sounds like a good day even though it was a short one. A catch is a catch, now all we need is some pics of those Texas fish.

Nice going

Well, the big one got away and the other fish weren’t pic worthy, so no fish pics. Sorry.

I did take a lake pic, so that’ll have to do this time.

Interesting cloud bank, surprised you didn't get any rain from it. Thanks for sharing.

Cool pic Cuondlake, interesting clouds there. Like better head for the dock.

We have all kicked purse in the rear for losing a fish at one time or another. Still sounds like you had a good day
