Hi I've never crabbed in washington. So I'm going to use a snare crab. Can anyone give me advice on where to crab?
In the water. But really I have not heard of a snare crab? Sounds like a crab trap of some kind. We mostly use crab rings, or pots of various sizes. In august you can crab in the sound behind vashon island out of manchester wa. 30 to 50 ft . Ricky Sitka
if your bilge pump is drawning down your battery from the bilge switch just take the hot wire from the switch & make sure you have this switch fused and wire in a alagator clamp to that wire. Then when you want to use it just hook up to pos on battery. but do not forget it is hook up after use. Ricky Sitka
If you install a battery switch you can shut down the voltage and check your battery with a load tester after you charge the battery up overnite on low charge. Now if your battery is ok you can just turn the switch off and no voltage can escape the battery.Forget the drain on battery just turn the battery off after each use. This is all stuff, the gasoline additive sta bill will stop the formation of water in your fuel tank.As for your fuel cleaner the gasoline itself is a very good cleaner. You do not need to use lucas stuff for your cars fuel system. Ricky

Lots of good lakes on the hood canal, Mason, spencer, lost, island, newatsul, panther, tiger, all these places you can fish from the shore or from a boat. Ricky Sitka
Stupid yes, Impressive no. Ricky Sitka
I know there are allagators there and cotton mouth swiming snakes in that lake. Ricky Sitka
Just cruise the shoreline and watch your fishfinder. Trolling lets you move all over the lake.Ricky Sitka

Catch and release? This ones a breeder!
They taste very good, rich pink color, firm. But you have to release them. Ricky Sitka
If the law is about killing pike and removeing its head is clear than why would they care if you snag them? Its one good way to remove them from the lake with out using poison. I have done my share of snagging. AK. has places were you can snag salmon in the saltwater legal. Ricky Sitka

Catch it... eat it!
If you can sea this monster get out the snagging gear. Large weighted # 4 strong triple hook. If it turns out to be a channel cat you can let him go or eat em. Ricky Sitka
Hood canal has alot of small sharks, dog fish. Shrimp fishing is the thing here in hoodsport wa.40 fathom sets for a single pot.Spot shrimp are jumbos, large,&coons.Fun to sea all those shrimp in the pot.I have pulled these pots by hand before 40 fathoms is a long way,240 ft. So I have a 12volt scotty pot puller now.Lots more fun now. Most pots catch about 5 gallons of shrimp. To do this you need a good depth finder. They like to live in the cracks & crags of the coral so if you can make sets in the coral without snaging your pot up in it will fish real good. You also have to do all this in a short period of time 2 day openings.I know i got off subject thanxs for reading. Oil filled trailer bearings are the best!! They have a sight glass so you can sea the oil level. Easy loader trailers,They use 90 weight marine gear oil syn. Very easy to change oil, unscrew the sight glass and fill cap and put back on. Ricky Sitka
Thank you for your service!! Ricky Sitka
