Went out today with my friens Randy. Weather was nice withe a small breeze and shaded cloud cover. Didn't get skunked and enjoyed it. I only caught one Crappie and Randy caught one Blue Gill. Will try for catfish next week. Weather permitting.

Really nice crappie.
Looks like pretty good weather too.
Thanks for the photos.

RI Dept of Environmental Management has stocked the ponds with trout. It is nice to bend the rod again and catch some fish. It has been a long 4 months. Something to do until the stripers show up. Tight lines all

Very nice.

Went out Monday to Veteran’s Reef. We fished mostly on the bottom (50’) with live shrimp and caught many good sized Grunt’s and Groupers. Groupers were too small to keep.
One of my friends decided to hook a Pin Fish on his line with no weight and just let it swim. Within minutes he hooked this 48”, 35 lb, Greater Amberjack. It took a while to get it in. They are out of season so we let it go after taking many pictures. As it was brought to surface, there were two more following it.
We only had 2 Pin Fish.
Going back Friday with a lot more Pin Fish.

Had a nice little shakedown run at Beseck today. It wasn't quite as warm as yesterday and the
8-10 breeze was gusting to 15+, but I got out anyway. No luck with topwater or a swimbait, so it was Dinger time. I missed the first bite, probably early hookset. Caught a 2lb Largemouth skunkbuster, and then settled in. Caught 2 more cookie cutter males, and decided to shift gears. Pulled out the medium light, and the ultralight rods and went Crappie hunting. The blowdown trees were on fire. Caught 10 up to 1 pound or so. The wind was picking up so I picked up the worm rod one more time, and caught the big fish of the day, a 2lb 12oz chubby female. After that I called it a day.
Definitely a successful shakedown and first trip.

Good trip. Those are some nice looking fish. Those Crappie look very decent. Were they kept for a nice meal?
Glad the shakedown cruise was successful.

Heading out for a shakedown run at Beseck tomorrow. We finally got enough decent weather to get the boat ready, and go shake off the rust. Hopefully I'll find a few that want to play. We'll see if I can remember how to catch them.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Good luck.

Well, it’s the Wife’s birthday today and we’re a little sore from moving #3 Son and his Wife, so not sure what she may want to do to celebrate later. Time will tell.
Have a great day all!

Happy Birthday to your bride. Maybe she will take you fishing 😀.
I hope she has a wonderful day and many more.

YES. It was the Monster Mash that was banned by the BBC in 1962 for being too morbid.
I don't know about you but I really like it. I think it's funny.

Hello stagers,
Today's trivia question has to do with Historical Persons.
Who was Mrs Silance Dogwood and
Polly Barker?
For those new to the game.
Knowledge and guessing are acceptable 😉
If you must look it up please refrain from posting 📫
It's more fun to see what people know and of course the wacky answers
Commander Bell out 👍

Mrs. Silence Dogood was Ben Franklin’s pen name.
I don’t know who Polly Barker was. A dog perhaps? 🤷‍♂️
