Good morning Leo and all,
61 now heading for 76 later. It should be a perfect day following the 2” of rain yesterday.
Have a great day all!

I heard you got a nasty one yesterday, John. It rained all day here, and we only got .15" total. It just sprinkled all day long. A completely wasted day.

With that kind of weather I would be out to. Just relaxing and wetting a line or two. Don’t forget snacks or find a place to do lunch.

Lunch is part of the plan. Old people don't like to cook, you know.

Went carping in 84 degree Carnegie Lake this evening on a hot, humid, cloudy day with a light south wind. Mosquitoes 🦟 were biting. I killed 6. Threw out a can of corn 🌽 for chum, then caught and released 6 bluegills, 3 white perch, 2 yellow perch and a musk turtle. Landed 90 turtles 🐢 this year. Saw a great blue heron catch and swallow 2 yellow perch and a white perch. 6 other fishermen were nearby. Osprey flew overhead with gizzard shad in their talons. Caught > 2,400 fish 🐟 this year.

Good morning, bands, thanks, for the report and the pixs.

I like snakes too.

Well, today it rained most of the day, and it was totally wasted. Friends called, and we lined up a pontoon ride for tomorrow, so, that was a good thing. Oh,,, I'm sure I got a little fatter, and that is not a good thing.

And, your bedtime story for tonight:

What do you call a blonde with half a brain? Gifted.

At first I thought this topic would be boring, and it may be to some, but when I finished reading it I thought y’all might enjoy the statistics of Honey Bees.🐝 🐝
Hack 🇺🇸🍺🍺

Did you know that one of the first coins in the world had a bee symbol on them?

Did you know that there are live enzymes in honey?

Did you know that in contact with metal spoon these enzymes die? The best way to eat honey is with wooden spoon, if you can't find one, use plastic.

Did you know that honey contains a substance that helps your brain work better?

Did you know that honey is one of the rare foods on earth that alone can sustain human life?

Did you know that bees saved people in Africa from starvation?

One spoon of honey is enough to sustain human life for 24 hours?

Did you know that propolis that bees produce is one of the most powerful natural ANTIBIOTICS?

Did you know that honey has no expiration date?

Did you know that the bodies of the great emperors of the world were buried in golden coffins and then covered with honey to prevent putrefaction?

Did you know that the term "HONEY MOON" comes from the fact that newlyweds consumed honey for fertility after the wedding?

Did you know that a bee lives less than 40 days, visits at least 1000 flowers and produces less than a teaspoon of honey, but for her it is a lifetime.
Thank you, BEES!
At first I thought this topic would be boring, and... (show quote)

I used to take a shot of honey straight for the jug, before each practice or match in HS, in college, I had to buy my own so I didn't mess with it, maybe I should have. Who knows? Is there anything better than an English muffin covered with butter, peanut butter and honey? Not!
