Well guys, we kinda got a late start because of the tide. But when we finally got to the fishin grounds we couldn't find the fish right away.
Finally started trollin and picked up a couple. First one was a keeper, just barely, so it was released.
Fished pretty hard for a couple hours but just couldn find em.
Finally hooked into a really nice one and it started runnin hard towards some pilings and I had to put too much pressure on it to try to turn it. Pulled the hook. We only got a glimpse of the fish and what we saw was bout 18 inches of it's back. No head or tail.
Would really like to have landed it OR at least seen it up by the boat. OH WELL.
We did finally put 2 in the live well. A 21 1/2 and a 22 incher.
We lost several fish today but we did manage to boat 16. But only bout 5 or 6 at the most were keepers. All the rest were shorts.
Rich , George and I will be goin out to the Pet instead of the Napa next.
Just 1 pic of the 2 before filleting.
Well Saw, you made the best of it, congrats and good luck on the Pet.

Way to hang in there guys 👍
Didn't hook up with you, do you have a bass boat trailer? thought that might be you out before us. went out to the flats and we think you waved and went into a slough south of us. My boat doesn't like shallow water. Went back upriver and hooked a nice 22". That was the only fish yesterday. Catch up with you sometime.

Yeah , that might have been us.
Got into that little back bay and hit something that was bout 1 1/2 feet under the water and dinged the prop a little, not bad though.
Gotta be real careful when you go out to those flats you never know what you might hit.

I’m doing great, just haven’t had a lot of time to check on all of you lately. I have done a bit of fishing this summer but work has kept me busy. Good to hear from you.
