My BIL passed away late last night in his home after a 3 year battle with the most insidious form of cancer (pancreatic.) He’s the one person I’d never guess would contract anything, he llived an extremely healthy lifestyle. My wife Betsy and I were down at their home in
Lancaster since Monday and just recently got home. Some of you may remember my posts of some family outings on the local waters, my sister Sandy and their grandson Ryan would travel up here quite frequently, we’d fish and grab lunch or dinner at a pizza/ Italian restaurant and simply just enjoy each other’s company. He was my BIL but also a great friend, and I am proud and honored to have been called his friend as well. He is most deserving of some sort of tribute.
Think I’ll have to do some fishing tomorrow to sort things out.
My BIL passed away late last night in his home aft... (show quote)

So sorry for your loss. I don't really know what else I could say . Take your time healing from this loss and relish his memory,🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Nice mess O'fish Andy. Glad to see you getting out. What's the water temperature up there? I got my boat finished up, before the next bout of rain. I'll get the rest of my stuff ready over the weekend and hopefully take a shakedown run Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for the pictures buddy.

Go get em !!! It's about 60° where I fished. I use a pool thermometer . It's close. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

My usual 1/2 day on Wednesday . I got back to my little cove and started getting a few once I switched from worms to small white curly tail grubs. We are allowed 20 Crappie over 9" on Pymatuning so I stopped just short of that and headed back in . I make it point to not max out the limit just in case my count is off a little. Boat launch was busy with people everywhere.🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Nice little mess O'fish Andy. I finally pulled the tarp off my tin boat. I have 2 days to start working on it before the next 3 days of rain. Can't we ship some of the rain to the Midwest???
Thanks for sharing your trip my friend. 👍🏻

Tis the season!! This rain is a pain but I'll take over the higher winds we been having. I hope your boat needs very little attention to get it on the water my friend, will be nice seeing some Bass posts from Pa . I think anywhere along the Colorado River would be appropriate? Thanks for your comments Fred 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Got out today and caught a mess a dinky perch then moved to a little area where bigger boat are blocked by a tree and logs in the water . Got into some Crappie in there , a small Bass and bunches of Bluegill. I kept two gills and a few Crappie. Enough for a sandwich. Really nice out today , wind was ok back in the cove and water is starting to get close to 54-55° . The turtles were out but no movement on a few casts with a frog. Soon enough for that to happen!!!! ,🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Time's up couldn't wait any longer !!!! As long as the wind is under 7-8 mph I don't care if it rains or snows. . But don't blame anyone for waiting. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Hello stagers,
The word LULU means many different things in many different languages.
For instance in Europe and the Americas LULU means: A outstanding thing or person.
In Native Hawaiian: LULU means Peaceful Protected, or Calm.
In Latin LULU is a nickname for Louise.
My question for you today is:
What does the word LULU mean in African Swahili ?
I'll bet we're in for some lulu's trying to answer this one.
Commander Bell out 👍

Not the foggiest idea. But LULU has an ice cream stand down the road about 2 miles. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Say Andy. What do you use for the finish coat? I've been using spar urethane, but I'm open to suggestions. There are only certain things I can shoot through my airbrushed, but if it sprays from a can I would try it.

Flytier, I tried to send a PM don't think I did it right so if you got it ok if not here's what I sent you. After paint is dry I wait 24 hrs for it to set. Then I use the water based Polyurethane most of the time I just dip them and let them hang over the open can for about 5 minutes. You can spray this with your airbrush. Cut it with water about 15% put on a couple coats. Then comes the epoxy after about 2 hrs or dry time for the poly. The Devcon and the Glaze coat work very well I add a few drops of alcohol to loosen it up a little then paint it on with a brush. Then right on to my turner and as it's going around I hit it with a quick shot of the heat gun on low temp to let it run together and take out any air bubbles. Then just let it turn for hours. The BSI epoxy is new to me I'm just getting use to putting it on . I believe it got a tad of alcohol too. Again I brushed it on and followed the same steps but it cures much quicker. ( Make ) Small Batches) . PS I weigh my two parts to get an exact mix .
I did watch a video using BSI and the guy brushed it on and hung it up to cure . I haven't tried this yet with a good lure but my sample piece seemed ok. No runs. . I use a Badger Patriot 105 to apply the water based poly and it cleans up ok. But I'm far from attempting epoxy. Someone to check out on YTube is The Engineer Angler. Hope this helps , I don't use the can spray because it seems to mostly go to mist and doesn't get very thick coverage. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Kind of a drab and dreary day but felt the need for the tug. Headed out to one of the local waters and caught 7 snot rockets and 1 small bass around 12” or so swimming jigs. Pretty sure I’d have better success fishing more stationary baits this time of year but I absolutely love fishing jigs. If I had to pick only 1 bait for any species , that would be it.

Great pic, you're stayn' after it all winter is inspiring. I know what you mean when you say you have one particular bait !!! Won't be long till the warm water opens everything up. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Where do you fish at Andy?

Mostly the north end of Pymatuning and Edinboro Lakes. Really hard driving past either of these lakes as they're both fairly close apx 20 miles from me.
They're both great fisheries and have some bigger bass that are ready to chew on frogs! 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏
