Hi Dobrinich, I'm going to Rend and Shelbyville soon when we get a few consistant warmer weather days with my boat and was wondering if you could give me a place or 2 to get started on Rend
Fishyman I fish Roche A Cri in open water for Bass but the last 2 years have not been good. I have a house close to there on the Pete and have never seen much hard water action there Be careful there might be a reason for that
Rearwheel, where in Alabama are you catching. I won't ask for yoiur special spot but I have never fished Ala. for crappie but am looking for an excuse to go there in tyhe spring or sooner and would like to know an area.
I've had the spot lock on 2 different boats and can only say good things about it. In wind it is actually more stable as you head into the wind and if the wind is fairly strong my boat hardly moves. It will move with no wind as it looks for the wind as a guide so to speak. I have a 18' Skeeter MX 1825 Also to add that I would only use a 36 volt system if it's a glass boat 18' or more World of difference between 24 and 36 volt system

The best guy in Chicago and Hammond, In. is Ralph Steiger Has a really good reputation and is young and aggressive
Hey Ben when do you do your trip to the Detroit River I usually go early, mid, and late April.. Took me a while to get good boat control. We usually use a guide one day and were using Medicine man or Jason Quintano but we are looking to change if you know any guides
I plan on going to Cpae Coral in mid January and than to the Keys for a few days. Never fished Cape Coral and am looking for ideas and places in the area. I did fish Pine Island once
Try calling Tony Grant or Greg Thomas. They are professional guides and know those waters. Tony has a hotel there and they both live there
I fished Cave Run with and without guide and no luck. Check water levels before you go it can be 15 ft to 25 ft high very quickly but fish can be caught in that depth. Tony Grant and Greg Thomas are excellent guides on that water.

I broke a Shimano rod that was a week old, sent it back at my cost and received a new rod but it took 8 months because of availability. They paid the return shipping
Make it easy on yourself and get some visuals by Mel Krieger. If you watch a couple of his instructional references that are easily accessible on the internet you will feel like you are physically in a class. He makes you feel comfortable and teaches with a professional finesse you have to experience. Watching him and practicing what he teaches is as good as any class because he is so thorough.
Thanks for the info. I will look for those maps now. I know the area near Munising but never fished it or Lake Superior
Thanks, my parents had a farm in that area for 45 years and I never had time to do any fishing.
I'm headed to the UP and am going to Chicogan Lake near Crystal Falls. Anyone familiar with the lake for some advice or other lake in the area.
