Sorry I can’t help too much. Check with Jerry at Big River Sports just south of Adams. He usually has good information as to what is happening. At least he did in the past. I haven’t fished there in a couple of years.
Tight lines.

No fishing for me right now. Spring through fall central Illinois. Occasionally I’ll get to your area. I like Big RocheCree and Friendship lake or at the spillway off of Petenwell.

Indeed! Finally going to have a day above freezing (Tuesday) so trying to get outdoors to keep the fever from setting in to deep. (Keep the small end of the pole down) lol. Thanks

Fishy man,
I would try Lake Redstone in Sauk County, or Petenwell and Castle Rock just to your north. They are good waters to fish for crappies, gills and walleyes.

Big Roche A Cri near Big Flats has to be worth a try, too. The boat launch near Mo’s should provide parking and easy walk-in access. Find the outside edge of green weeds and you will find fish and what they are eating.
The dam on the W side off 13th and Cottonville Ave holds a lot of bass in the Summer, too. I see no reason they would not be there in the Winter, too, but not sure about ease of walk-in access.

Take pictures. Scenery and fish, friends and family, dinner, you name it. We love pictures.

Fish Lake just east of Hancock and Mason Lake in the SE corner of Adams County both have good populations of bluegill.

Fishyman I fish Roche A Cri in open water for Bass but the last 2 years have not been good. I have a house close to there on the Pete and have never seen much hard water action there Be careful there might be a reason for that
