They were getting macks at the very end, some nice sheepshead, some keeper gags. That was Thursday when it was nasty and perfect

Has any one ever fished for catfish using a trotline?

In honor of, and with respect to all of you veterans today, I would love to see your military portraits and/or photos… for those who don’t mind sharing. Thank you for your service. ❤️

Only things I saved was my DD214 and my shot record. My wife is a retired RN and she gets a big thrill looking through it and all the shots the AF gave us

At the price of the live units, at this point in time, there are just a limited number who can afford them. Those that can, are mostly tournament, or tournament want to be's, catch and release fishermen. The major exceptions are guides who can justify the expense and write it off. I can see tournaments restricting live scope sometime in the future, but I am not sure why, except for the need of some people to make rules.
I can find nothing showing a real move to legally restrict live scopes. I have just found comments stating it should be restricted, mostly by disgruntled fishermen. Please enlighten me.

Just talk by a youtuber is all I saw.....of course I spiced it up a little, like a true fisherman would

You are right about that, Roland Martin has one that you can see the fish in front of your boat and also your lure when you cast to it. I don't think the ave. guy can afford one.

Some of those average guys go crazy with fishing gimmicks and have more tied up in their boat and truck than they do in their houses...ha

Thanks SR. Going to see it effects my state.

I also read the Pro Muskie Tour has banned them...apparently some guy in one of their tournaments had 8-10 of them mounted on his boat..ha

Fish Finders have been around for years. But do they actually “find the fish” No, they just show you that your above them. The new technology just enhances the imagining and clarity. Maybe the should be called “fish detectors”…🐟on

Don't know dave, I read with the one I mentioned you can actually see the fish, tell which direction they are pointed, and watch your lure moving thru the water

Don't own a boat so don't have technology that way but is it any different than hunting with a scope and range finder????

I believe so ranger, a scope and rangefinder only help you after you've found game, the sonar actually finds fish

Who uses this technology when fishing? Some states are considering a ban on it, say it's use is depleting the fish populations in lakes

I understand, but you could also take it as a compliment. You're the fisherman they want to be.

I never really looked at it that way and that's kinda hard for me to swallow considering they never say anything

Not sure....where I fish gets stressful at times, like when I sling a few nice Macks up on the pier and watch as other fisherfolks slowly close in on me and start throwing their sh.t out in front of me. I'm not sure if that's stress or rage, I'm leaning more toward rage
