I’m not sure what FG is. I’ll have to read all your posts. I think Ben mentioned the Alberto knot. This one I use all the time to attach leader to main line. I mostly use braid to Fluorocarbon leader. It creates a knot that resembles those old Chinese finger torture toys. It allow you to reel that knot all the way back to your reel. It was created by Alberto Knie. An amazing angler who everyone should look up if you already haven’t heard of him. His fishing adventures are extensive with the most intensive attention to every detail of the how’s and why’s fish react and how to meticulously target different species. This is a video ( maybe not the best quality) I did showing you how I tie this and a Palomar knot. I did make a few errors in this video first off mispronouncing Alberto’s last name. It is pronounced “ Née” also he grew up in Hong Kong and lived in Brazil. Enjoy ! https://youtu.be/atyUZWpCc94

Over the years from time to time I take my fishing exploits to the big screen ( okay, YouTube). I have recorded a lot of footage but don’t always have the time to actually produce a video. For me, to make and upload a five minute video can take hours. But every now and then I persevere and produce one. I’m new here and not sure if it will come up on the site, so “Here it Goes!”

I’m going to go with Ivey. Wool ones with the thumb and index fingers (or all trimmed down). It seems that even if the wool gets wet, they still keep your hands warm. I think the best kind for keeping your hands the warmest are mittens because your fingers staying together keep their warmth better. I have a pair that the mitten part and thumb peels back so you can expose your finger tips. Of course when you have to stick your hand in the water 💦 this time of year to catch or release a fish, make sure you have a towel to dry your hands good before putting your gloves back on. I recently bought a neoprene pair for this reason. I have only worn them once for short bit. I have to repost to let you all know how they feel after being submerged.

Good Morning all.
They say we may get a little dusting of the white stuff Christmas morning in my part of Virginia before the rain takes over. It would be a welcome site.
I haven’t seen many White Christmas’s since I was a wee one.
Merry Christmas to all !!

Yes Plumbob. The big Ins’ are down more in the Tidewater region nearer the Chesapeake Bay Bridge but you can still hook into some beasts further up into the rivers that lead into the bay as well. The Stripers too. Lately I have been catching some decent puppy drum in these creeks and rivers near me
