I was there in July a couple years ago in readington beach next to the old pier and a guy I met caught a couple really nice snook and redfish that was before the red tide of course
I’ve tried what I thought were good apples. There is no such thing as perfect fruit it all has a defect. So after a period of time something ends up happening to turn them into bad apples. The last one was doing great until he told someone else about it and when I caught him he said the one that had permission said just mention his name and it will be ok WRONG only gave 1 person permission. So no apples at all now sorry.
Owner of 6 ponds, I used to let people fish but it has been said already, #1 Liability after that picking up trash filling in tire tracks having to tell them multiple times catch and release going in late at night getting stuck sorry but a few bad apples have ruined it for the bunch. Now if they are caught site them for trespassing it’s a shame it has to come to that but enough is enough.
There are scumbags everywhere. Last weekend on LBI pulled up to a spot where someone else had been fishing earlier and they left 6 dogfish on the beach. Just put them back maybe they should try to fish with lures instead if they want to avoid dogfish No Talent !
Great way to find those out of the way ponds, but please be sure to obtain permission before trespassing! Rock salt hurts!!!
