Isn't it unusual for that many bucks to be together?
It's called a bachelor (spelling? group, the only time they hang with each other.
Welcome neighbor. Toledo bend is big, very big. You can start by looking at the F&G website. Look under reefs, and find Toledo Bend. They have put in a lot of work into man made reefs. There are at different depths, use your finder to see if the fish is there at that depth, and just search until you find them. The website will give you the location of the many reefs, they installed. Good luck
Find them fast, planning on pulling the plug on the lake. The drawdown is the first, I think, and goes till the 1st of August. The lake is already low. Good luck.

Did you have a guide??? If so how much does one cost???
You can find the fish on your own. If you have a modern day 'fish finder' you can plug in the location of the man made reefs. You can get their location from the 'Fish and Game' website.
Farmerville is the place to go. Big crappie, bream and some very large bass.

All of our hogs we dip them in boiling water and then scrape the hair off. Never skin them
That is the way to make 'cracklings'.
For those that hunt and fish, have you ever done this? I just got a message from a friend that helped him skin some hogs he had in his trap. (6) He made a small hole in the hide and filled the carcass with air. The air will separate the hide from the meat, and makes it so much easier to skin. I wonder if anyone has done this to catfish.
Greg I wish you would post your thoughts, humor, and throw in a story or two.
Nicely done. I built a lot of cabinets, and never something to use for the rods. Very nice.
Thanx for the humor, made my day.
