skin with air

For those that hunt and fish, have you ever done this? I just got a message from a friend that helped him skin some hogs he had in his trap. (6) He made a small hole in the hide and filled the carcass with air. The air will separate the hide from the meat, and makes it so much easier to skin. I wonder if anyone has done this to catfish.

No but I've parboiled em. Like when you're canning tomatoes. Skin just lips right off.

I've heard of doing this with rabbits.

All of our hogs we dip them in boiling water and then scrape the hair off. Never skin them

Met a couple from Alabama while hunting. They shared ham that they cured and man it was the best I’ve ever tasted. Nothing like what I buy in store.
