This is the first time I've ever been this old! ...80 and holding...and fishing as often as possible..
Update to my previous note about camp ground location. It was actually near Braisey's Corner. Any experience there?

Anyone else fished Black Lake in NY? Would love to hear about your experience.

I'm looking for information about Black Lake in NY. Anyone familiar with this lake? I would appreciate your response.
Went camping and fishing with my grandfather and uncles every year at Black Lake, and always came home with 30-40 fish after a week. That turned into a big backyard fish fry. Good eating! Mostly Smallmouth.
That was in the mid fifties when I was a teenager - turned 80 this year, and still fishing every chance I get. Don't remember the name of the cottage/campground, but it was near Baileys Corners? - In the southeast corner.
Wish I had more info for you, but those memories are pretty hazy now. What I wouldn't give to relive those times!

My wave doesn't have spring loaded pliers.
Sorry...I goofed. Old age is stealing memory cells. I have a Leatherman Wave, also, but the one I carry which has spring-loaded pliers is my Leatherman "Wingman". See it here...

I wouldn't be without it. Tight lines.
Leatherman Wave. I have 2 other Leatherman, 3 other multi-tools and 2 hunting knives (can't remember the name brands at the moment). I take the Wave Leatherman on my belt for all my fishing excursions since this is the only one with the spring-loaded pliers. I also take fishing pliers with me to reach the gut-hooks and to use on the small split rings on crank baits, etc.
Mass is free over 70. That's me for the past 10 years - hopefully 20 more.
20 lb SpiderWire braid with Fluorocarbon cover. No line twist on spinning reels or bait casters. Invisible underwater, bright white and visible above surface. I have it on all my reels (6), and am entirely happy with it.
Yes Sir. Enlisted in 1958, retired in 1978.
This is the first time I've ever been this old.
I'm about to buy a 2-person fishing kayak. The inflatable Elkton Outdoors Cormorant. It's the best one I've found (on line) that has everything I want, and has good reviews.
Anyone here had experience with one? Recommended? Pro & cons?
Thanks in advance.

Quabbin Reservoir in middle of Massachusetts. 38 sq miles, 181 miles of shoreline. Three boat launches, and plenty of shoreline fishing. I plan to go on a guided bass fishing trip later this year (assuming this virus takes a hike by then).
