I think the areas that freeze are limited, but not 100% sure. I saw a video of a guy catching a huge Laker through the ice up there, and the upper part (shallower) freezes about now, not sure if the lower part freezes
The fact that the bigger fish bite as the storm approaches is the reason so many fishermen get caught in the lightning storms we were talking about on another post. They just can leave cuz the fishin gets so good
Here in Utah we actually have 4 different subspecies of Cutthroat Trout just to make matters even more confusing. In fact many people try for the Cutthroat slam, and I think the even have prizes for achieving it.
OMG!! They just keep getting better each day LOL
Utah state record for Lake Trout came out of Flaming George, and 30# plus lakers are actually common there so if you go take some big jigs and make a week out of it
I'm happy someone finally caught one! Great Job
Welcome David. If you love fishing you came to the right place. Any pics of catches made lately?
Might want to take off your watch, sometimes the s*** gets pretty deep, but everyone seems to have a great time!
I live in a small valley that is about 40 miles long and 6 miles wide, and mostly farm ground. the largest farmer in the area was once approached by a man from Texas. The texan said to him, I hear you are the largest farmer in the area, how big is your farm? Burke was the farmers name and pointed out landmarks showing his farm, north south east and west. The texan laughed and said, I can drive in any direction all day and never reach the border of my farm. Burke replied, Yeah, I had a car like that once.
Oh, that's funny, I don't care who you are
I have heard that from other people too, that the line wouldn't hit the water and the next thing their hair stuck straight up. Get down as low as possible, lightning is about to strike, and get out of harms way asap.
And that is very logical LOL Good One!
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm Must be winter time. :)
My wife even laughed at that one
