The post you speak of goes to Georgia fishing because that is your location Uncle_T. Mine do the same thing but to Colorado. I don’t think your posts appear that way across the entire stage but I haven’t researched it but I do know they are still available to everyone from the responses a I’ve had to mine. Personally I think so many don’t come back because I don’t think they get quite the kind of answers they are looking for. A lot want information as to specific areas and yet are kind of vague as to where their area is and in many cases I think that our membership, doesn’t have the kind of information folks are looking for. I hope you will stay with us. Great folks here, much to be learned and much to be gained.

I see All the Georgia people, including you, in main. You see Georgia people in the Georgia section. We all see OUR state in OUR own section. We all see ALL the other states in main.

That part to me is a bit confusing I guess

I will try and communicate with new locals or surrounding area and see what develops. Some folks just like to read and shy away from posting. I see how many views a thread will get and makes me wonder sometimes where are they.

Well I read for three years before joining
It really doesn’t matter to me if people are local or not, I just like the sharing of knowledge and the friendships on here

Understandable Uncle T, topics that start in the Attic are most times not fishing related.

However the advantage for you would be if one of your topics ended up there through no fault of yours, you could still follow it.

Being signed up in the Main and the CC, you and everyone else should be able to see all post. You are not alone in the curiosity as to where the one post and gone folks go. My thought is they get their info and that is all they wanted.

Very few come back with a Thanks.

Yes I really don’t like to see the people asking for this and that, usually where to go what to use, tell me how to catch fish without trying, then never say anything about the outcome or as you said, not even a thanks

That's not true Uncle _T .
Everyone sees their own location separated, and everything else in Main. In other words, I see the Connecticut posts together, and all the rest in Main. You see all the Georgia ones together, and the rest in main.

I don’t see very many Georgia people in main and I don’t want to be stuck in Georgia lol

So I’ve only posted a few times but every post has gotten moved to a section called Georgia fishing or whatever it is, but it’s not where I put it. I can’t see others personal state sections how is anyone supposed to see mine.
I think the reason you see so many people who introduce themselves and then you never hear from them again is 1 because of what I just said and 2 because once you sign up to be a part of it all, it’s no longer the same, everything changed.
Let’s see where this winds up

Morning, Uncle_T. The answer to your dreams. Good luck!

Thank you flyguy, but I’ve seen that before and it does show the weights of the reels but doesn’t actually explain what they can handle.
The thing is, I have a catfish rod, the bill dance baitcast combo, the rod is 7ft medium heavy fast, lure weight 1/2 to 4oz, and with the reel that came with it it is so heavy to try and cast, it works fine and I like it, but I was hoping to find something that would be a little easier to cast, out of curiosity I put one of my low profile reels on it and it is easier but if I add a 2oz weight I have to tighten the tension all the way and I feel that it’s too much stress on the reel, so thinking a smaller size round reel may be what I want to use on it.
If any of that makes any sense

From what I’ve seen the sizes of round baitcast reels go from 40 to 90,
Or 4000 to 9000,
What I am wondering is how much weight they can handle, such as, will a 40 be able to handle 4oz of weight?

Does anyone have a kastking rover 40?
If so, would it handle 4oz lure or weight?

Remember Creepy Crawlers? We would spend hours and hours making stuff. Yep, nothing like giving an 8 year old some liquid plastic and metal molds to stick in a hot electric oven next to a pan of water, haha. We suffered many burns but it was worth it.

I had one of the original creepy crawlers everything made of metal no plastic, take it out of the cooker and dip it in the water to cool it, and it would sizzle, so dangerous for a kid but I loved that thing
