Nice job Andy. That's a huge jump in temperature, must have been a strong sun day. Glad to see your success is continuing. πŸ‘πŸ»

Thanks Fred, sorry I'm slow getting back to your response. Got really busy around here and gotta get some things ready to not be bothered with once the WIND decides to stop blowing so hard, excited to start a new frogn' season. Red Cross is not very deep 3-4feet and between a mud bottom and really stained water it works like a heat sink and my thermometer is a pool thermometer that I just throw over the side on a leash and it go's about a foot down. This upper end is also polluted with carp and the whole top of the water moves when I spook a batch. They've already started jumping and scaring the daylights out of me. It'll be good to get past them and the Cottonwood crap that's coming in the next few weeks. Makes a mess with my micro eyes and I'm constantly picking it out of the braid. Stuff is tough as all get-out once it gets wet. By then the pads will be well established and it's game time, if the WIND slows. See ya soon at the Eagle my friendπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

Looks like you still faired well with some nice catches there Andy after having to sew your net.

I keep wire ties on board so remind me to give you some for exactly what you sewed when we get together in June.

Thanks Bob, I sewed it up good with some doubled 50# braid it was about an 8" tear πŸ₯΄ but good to go now, it'll hold a bigun nowπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

Looks like big fish. Nice going with the catching and the patchwork!

Thanks Kandydisbar; These are all just good solid mid 2#fish. I got the camera mount readied today, put a good patch sewing job on the net with some doubled up 50# braid it was about a 8" tear!! , good to go now as soon as the wind slows down to under 12 mph. Put all the other panfish gear up for the summer. Now it's just frogs, sm, med, and large for my setup. It's on now trying to break 7#s this year my PB. Good luck to everyone this season and see some at the Eagle M&G it's coming quickπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

Oops, I meant to say low 50’s. I gotta start proofreading my posts and responses. The hurrier I go the behinder I get.

The area I'm fishing today is average 3-4' deep and the water is stained which helps it warm up faster. The pads are really starting to clump up and that's what I want little patches will hold fish . I understand about the unintentional temp. mistake , you were probably thinking about catching all those fish you've been on. Darn if we don't have more days of rain and high winds. These winds have been brutal this year so far. We do what we can. As far as getting out fishing more often ?? " Who invented mowing the grass?" This seems to take up valuable fishn' timeπŸ€”πŸ€”πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

Hit Red Cross launch today , lost a pig fairly early and these came once I found them all fairly close together. Wind blew me into a log and it caught my net and ripped a pretty big hole in it , but I stopped and sewed it together with some braid and a paperclip . Just in time for the ones I caught. The water temp was at 55Β° when I started by 2 pm it was 68Β° I take the temp about a foot deep. πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

After a few days of rain and really serious winds finally got out for some local fishing. Caught 6 rockets, a couple of crappies and a few bass throwing under spins with 3.5” Keitechs, some just swimming paddle tails and a few on ZMan turds πŸ’©. Nothing special in the size category but felt good to be out and about. Still pretty windy so it was kinda difficult to keep in touch with your baits. Added a photo of the pollen that collected on the SE end of the water. My eyes are a bit itchy.

Way to go Brad, nice looking bunch of fish. I don't mind the cold or temperature but that doggone wind really can make for a difficult day. Good selection of different baits too. Someday maybe I'll try different baits???? No wait I probably won't 🐸. Might keep a wacky worm in the yac just to say I have different baits, most likely won't ever get tied on. Have a great week. We got wind and rain heading our way again πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

I'm happy for the little black frog's success. πŸ‘πŸ»
I'm going out for a shakedown run tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to find a few.

While I was trying to get my pic phone to come on I had two 40+ " Muskies cruise really close to me and this water was really clear because it comes out of a huge beaver dam . Got a real good look . Hope you get into some nice ones Fred. Be careful Water's still cold. Hope the wind and weather cooperates. I won't get out for next few days up here the weather's going to be windy again. πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

Went out today and fished for Crappie nothing. Then after it warmed up a little I started throwing the frog. First fish in the net at 4:30 pm and followed by two more and a few blow ups. Only had enough battery left to get two pics. And I know it's hard to believe but the " Little Black Frog " draws first blood. This frog is amazing. The wind was a whipping from the NW and blowing me all over the place even in sheltered areas . πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

I'm glad your wife is doing better . It's hard to think of anything else when you have a loved one in bad health. Sounds like there's a turn for the better . I'm sure just being by the water gives you so much stress relief. Stay prayed up and enjoy the gold when you can. It’s good to see your getting ready for bass season. The pads in the north end of Edinboro are just starting to break through the surface. With the warm temperatures in the forecast it won’t be long before the bass are biting the frog.

Thanks for the update on the pads, I've been chewing at the bit waiting to get some weather without this nasty wind . Pads at Pymatuning are starting to reach for the surface also but with this extra water they have a tad further to go . Then all heck will break loose. " Let loose the frog" . Don't forget your "little black frog" it's really good on Edinboro, you know where they are!!! Good luck hopping you get a few on frogs this year. See ya soon as the wind stops a whippingπŸ₯΄πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™
