The "Hoopie" is 119 miles long but we will be putting in near Sandersville, GA.
That's about the best meal you can get right there. The wife and I are heading over to fish the Ogeechee River next week; got our hotel booked and will be looking at homes / properties in the area.
I think it's a water snake too.
That's a nice mess of fish Mark! Nothing better than those sweet pan fish.
Thanks! We're only about 15 miles from Lake Burton and Moccasin creek. Even if you don't catch anything there it's worth the drive just for the beauty.
So sorry to hear about Rosie. People just don't realize that these are family.
My brother-in-law and nephew (semi-pro, almost full time fisherman) goes there all the time and they do really well. We got pix of them with nice stripers a couple of days ago.
Wow, you guys make me feel like a rock star! Thanks for all the kind words and wishes. I'll be active here.
My wife and I live near Helen in the beautiful blue ridge mountains. I've been a fisherman all my life but making 19 vacations to Alaska, of course including a fishing trip almost every time, and living there for three years, kinda ruined it for me. I didn't want to post more pix. I bought a jon boat and motor two years ago but I had a sever back problem that left me having to use a walker, and dragging my left leg. I've gotten much better in the last few months, despite also having covid, then 6 months later pneumonia, and flu at the same time. So I think it's time I get that boat in the water and drown some worms. I must be strange because I've never cared for bass. The only fish I'm interested in here is bream, crappie, sunfish, shellcrackers, etc. I'm 70 and fully retired from the DoD.

Seminole and Eufalla are hot right now
Thanks for that tip! I'll be heading down there this coming Monday morning. I've been craving bream or crappie for way too long.
