Went to the Wright Patman Spillway yesterday to what they were releasing. Also to see what they were catching, had heard they were catching crappie. Not many at the wall and only a few bank fishing from the bank. On the wall they were catching very small channels, a bluegill and a small white bass. But one fellow did snag a nice buffalo. Weighed 23 lbs. Be some good ribs there.

Put my 24 volt minn kota that I had on the g3 on the Jon boat today. 80lbs thrust. This thing going to rock. It has spot lock. Run on a lowrance graph. Found 1/2 steel plate at fab shop to mount it on. It’s solid. Comments?

I'll remember that if I get a chance to catch some.
Do any freshwater fish come in there?

Yes they do. It’s a canal off of Bayou Lafourche. Pronounced La-foosh, which leads to Belle Pass into the gulf. Specs and Redfish. Mostly in the winter months when they look for deeper canals to avoid the cold. There’s always some of each year round just not as many.

Wow!! Which do you prefer to eat?

1 mile from the gulf.

Do the trout and fish come up in there? Or is a river?
What do catch off the dock?

Thanks. Those Pelicans show up like clockwork during fish cleaning.

LOL...So much for attracting fish with leftovers. Is this a lake or on the coast?

When I get to go, this is what it looks like off of the dock at our place. This is an old picture. Of course we are still repairing the place due to hurricane Ida damage. Probably have another month or so to complete provided we can still find materials.

What a cool place !!
