Ok, thanks man, I'm taking a break on fishing for a few days anyway

So last week was amazing...catching 4 and 5 lb bass on jerkbaits and square bill cranks. Today, I was out on a buddy's boat and fished some great looking areas that bass love, spots Iv never fished because I don't have a boat...laydowns points you name it...not even a nibble (still using the jerks and the cranks) after we were done and he left I was frustrated and perplexed as to why no bites so I walked over to the cove that was so amazing last week and fished again with the jerks and cranks...same thing happened...no bites. What's going on? I'm in California and even though were coming into fall the weather hasn't changed that much. Today was in the low 80s. I also realize that fish do move around with the change of weather and current. Should I change baits at this point?
Ok Grizz, Need to make a trip to BP and change out some hooks
Boy Andy you sure got that right...you catch a bass on something and back to the store and buy 5 more of that thing you caught the bass on. One thing Iv learned in the few months Iv been fishing is that fish move around, weather changes which changes the feeding habits of fish in general. Certain things you can predict...other things not so much
Hmm, never heard of speed clips. How do they work
Thank you Grizz, yeah Iv been happy with this particular jerkbait...3 1/2 inch shad pattern, suspending...shallow diver. Iv used it a lot and still has great action...just need to change out the hooks. Those are stock (eagle claw) hooks by the way
I have one Cordell jerbait and it catches bass consistently. Look, I'm new to the whole bass fishing thing so for me it was an experiment.
I might have to check out Bass Pro. Walmart selection is very limited
Sure thing...thanks man!

HF, your right time is to precious with work and family and just life
OJ, it was cheap...$1.97. Think I'll stick with higher end brands...just get paranoid I'll get hung up on something...its like taking $10 or $15 bucks and throwing it in the fireplace, however I always get the shallow divers maybe 2 to 4ft also make sure they suspend or rise slowly on a pause. Luckily the cove I fish is 7ft max in depth
