Been doing good Paul. Went to Oroville Diversion Dam with my brother. Skunked but we were really in the wrong area. Want to go back sometime. How have you been? I’d be fun to go out with Basserman and do some trolling in some of Central Sierra Lakes. They seem to produce! And meeting new friends is always fun.

I’d be interested in trout. I have an ultra lite rig, may not be conducive to trolling but would love to try. Not very experienced though. I’m in Folsom and Spirit gave me some hints on the American River. 👍

Well, my brother and I got skunked. Wind was up, couldn’t cast and 35 miles to get to the other side below the dam outlet. We’re heading back. It was a good exploration day. Better knowledge now.
Great day because any day you’re out is a good day. I’d share pictures but we’re both kinda ugly if we aren’t holding a fish. Thanks for all the coaching, we will hit it again. And what’s up with the girls don’t want to clean the fish? We’re men (and women) we’re hunters, not gatherers! 😂

I am not a skilled life long fisherman so some of the normal phrases that get tossed around I don’t understand.
Reel size. “I’m using a 2500, 3000, 3500…. Is this just a regular sizing term for reels? Spinning, baitcaster or both?
Does it have something to do lb test? Spool size? What you’re fishing for? Ocean/fresh water?
I’m sure I can Google it but the real pros are on the stage. Experience matters.
