Caught these Saturday in "N" Lake. The government changed the name of that lake 3 or 4 times in my life and I'm not sure what the official name is now. Naturally on my cane pole. I was using 2" minnows and a bream hook.

The first time my dad ever took us fishing, prob 7 years old. I caught one of these in perch creek before it became the Theodore Industrial canal. Some dude called it a cigar fish. I named it Gomer Pyle. So there you go, a cigar named Gomer.

Nice mess of fish Mark. How deep were you and what bait did you use?
Crickets and 1-2' deep. They were bedding.
Last Sunday I got these right across from the boat launch. Never left the no wake zone at Dead Lake. Way to many drunk yahoo's speeding down the lake to go nowhere fast. It took a few minutes to get all the fishes to hold still and smile for the pic.

The best thing for a fisher "WOMAN" is to find a sincere fisher "MAN". Good fishing out west.

Poor fella just couldn't take it anymore. Got drunk and ran out into traffic.
Took my brother yesterday for a couple of hours. He kept what he wanted, released the rest.
Cane pole and crickets.

What did you for bait? If the wind dies down would like to go.
Crickets, high tide and the wind seem to go hand in hand this time of year. Going again today.

Madness, total and utter madness! So sad for the real folks that have to live in a place like that.

I think the fish saw his ice shack and went into shock, changed color. :)
Did you release such a rare fish?

Thanks, not quite a limit. you can keep 10 per day in Alabama. I have been out with the Vid for a while. It's not the doom and gloom being preached. For me and wife, just a bad headache, fever, and congestion.
PawPaw, Go to Hooked up by the Bay launch on east end of the Causeway. you can pier fish there undisturbed for a few bucks. They sell live shrimp.
Flyguy, it is brackish. Sometimes catch redfish and specks on the cane poles too.
