I went last Thursday afternoon for 2 hours in the Mobile Delta with live shrimp and a cane pole.

Nicely done and thrilled to see the old stand-by still works. Congrats!
Dang you mean I've been doing it all wrong 😧 sure looks like it 🤣 Good job Bigmark.

They don't look like salties, is the Mobile Delta fresh? Thanks for sharing, Bigmark.

Have for 22 years but never fished the delta

Nice Bigmark, you’ll be eating well tonight. Never used a cane pole, must be a blast.
PawPaw, Go to Hooked up by the Bay launch on east end of the Causeway. you can pier fish there undisturbed for a few bucks. They sell live shrimp.
Flyguy, it is brackish. Sometimes catch redfish and specks on the cane poles too.

That brings back some awesome memories Mark. I'll have to pull mine out this year. Nice catching, and thanks for the pictures.
I took my oldest daughter fishing for the first time with a cane pole. I taught her how to bait the hook gave her a quick lesson and off she went. I forget how many fish she caught that day but she was bringing them in left and right. She out fished me that day and bragged about it for some time. Unfortunate the fishing bug did not bite her.

Two good fishing days on LA. You guys are killing me. I live on Wolf Bay (Elberta) and am out of town for two weeks. Hope they are still biting when I get back.
Good job.
NICEEEEE! I still use a cane pole on small streams/creeks/bayous around me. Manage to catch some bluegill/redears/crappy and enjoy myself while waiting for catfish to take my rod/reel bait,
Just goes to show we don't need half the expensive equipment and poles we use. Lol sometimes simple is the best way. Nice brother I'm coming over for dinner :-)
