My name is Edward Andrew Bowman, you can call me Andrew, yes I go by my middle name. I've been fishing my whole life until I had a back injury in 2008. I'm now much better, and can finally get back to fishing. I have forgotten so much about fishing and when I went fishing on Sunday that was my first time fishing since 2008, got skunked! I live in Lacey WA and want to catch some fish!

Welcome, Andrew, to the Stage.

I think that says 1.72 kg, or slightly over 4 lbs. I think the bass is in the 7 to 8 lbs range.

Tpk1536tpk : 1 kg = 2.2 lb. , so, provided the scale is accurate, the scale is holding a weight of 3.784 lb.

Recovery is slow but steady.

My right arm has 3 different soft splints.
One to add compression to my shoulder apparently I strained the muscles.
The 2nd one is padding on a the elbow itself, with extra padding above and below the elbow joint.
The 3rd one is my own. A long wrist brace, used for carpal tunnel syndrome.
I feel and look like a cyborg
I take them off only to bathe.
My walk in tub has jets.
Submerging my arm feels great and is probably assisting in my recovery
When I'm able to return I'll have lots of trivia and interesting facts ๐Ÿค”

Tasty acoustical guitar work, but, I never heard Willie sound anything like this before. Nice tune, though.

I am in the throes of finishing my first novel. I need to pay more attention to the details and structure, since this is my first attempt at a completely new focus for me.
I believe it will be an interesting read for you on the Fishing Forum/Stages once I finish the work. Unfortunately, I am seriously handicapped as far as mobility. I fell again upon trying to go out to eat this evening. We had loaded my electric wheelchair in the car, and I was trying to get around to the passenger side with my wifeโ€™s help. My left ankle and knee were simply would not cooperate and I fell. Nothing broken but had to call the EMTโ€™s for help.
Whether you realize it, or not, you have been a great help in guiding my efforts. I have a great capacity of remembering and recall of those things you find interesting! So, when I finish and get my novel published I expect many of you will recognize โ€œI am humming your song!โ€ Not the same words, but they rhyme! I will continue to read your posts. If you need to contact me, go to 3457rjs@gmail.com

I blew up the photo and it shows KG. So, the fish weighs approx. 3 3/4 lb.

Nice goin' pborough. I'm no good @ weight estimates, but that is one really healthy looking LM. And, you're correct, it doesn't matter as much as the enjoyment of fishing, and occasionally catching.
Any bass that you can stuff your fist into it's mouth is plenty big.

Jarfish, Welcome to the Stage. I'm guessin' you're a USMC vet. Keep your eyes open here, just around July 4th, there will be a survey of who on this forum wants to be listed as a vet of the military. Guy who handles this is Plumbob. He lists us by which branch we served in and when, if ya supply that info. Great guy, you're bound to see other posts from him before then regularly.
Nice to have ya here with us.

Went carping in 69 degrees Carnegie Lake this evening on a cloudy, cold day with a strong east wind. Caught 7 bluegills, 3 red breasted sunfish, a greengill, 2 common carp to 12 lbs and a musk turtle ๐Ÿข with canned whole kernel corn ๐ŸŒฝ. Saw a great blue heron catch and swallow 9 fish ๐Ÿ  before catching and releasing a bluegill. Caught 6 common carp that weighed 50.5 lbs the last 4 days. 3 carp stole 5 of my hooks in the past week.

Bands, thats a great photo of the heron. How did ya ever get him to pose for his portrait like that ? Nice fish too. Musta been a very satisfying trip.

Good morning all, Hammering Hank that's me will be going out fishing this afternoon out of Stamford Connecticut. It has been 20 long years since I've piloted a boat. I will be on a 22 foot center console. I am looking forward to a great fun filled day, hopefully catching some fish. It is open season for stripers, blues, parties, fluke and flounder. So what's up? I would very much like to catch some fluke. Any advice on that. Thanks, Hammering Hank

HH, Welcome to the Stage. Good luck ๐Ÿ€ with your fishing pursuits in the Sound. I have no recent experience with your type of fishing, but I'm sure you'll be getting help here. Glad ya decided to participate in this forum, you've made an excellent choice.
