Not always - in this case it was the 4th mouse, apparently.

I’ve caught more mice than my wife’s cat. Mazy cat caught one in 11 years and put it in our bed. I know ——Mazy rhymes with lazy. We would keep the door closed so it didn’t happen again. That ended up a joke. No more caught mice.
