“ Well, Ms Smith, you can’t say you weren’t warned‘

I think I had that teacher or her sister when I was a kid. 🤪

This was passed on to me so take it as hearsay: Was that Kandy or Lynny?

PB, just remember that Kandy is only a few hours away from you and you don’t know what she looks like!
You may have a bad limp when she catches up with you.

The lakes and oceans themselves are inherently not dangerous. It is when PEOPLE venture out without regard for CONDITIONS that we deem the waters dangerous. If people had stayed on dry land, they would never have been in jeopardy.
It is only when people DECIDE to enter the water domain, be it a pond, lake or ocean without the proper precautions and common sense that we get big headlines about nature taking a life.
News reporting has always been “When it bleeds, it leads”, that is the nature of our media.
When you put everything into perspective it all makes sense.

Plum: I’m a little late to this posting “party” but:

1- I always try to address a store staff member with “Happy (insert the day of the week)! It starts our conversation off well whether it is a purchase or a return.
Sometimes it’s “Happy Monday # (insert the number of days since Monday), they may get a cloudy look or relate immediately, it always pays to be nice, they are there to do a job and it usually lifts their day.

2- Your fingers are looking better and I hope that they grow back without being as painful as they look.
I guess that being able to count to 8 1/2 is a good outcome. I hope that isn’t your “wiping hand”. 🤪🤪🤪

Hack,
Bob may be old but he isn’t dead. He can appreciate a good pair when he sees, err, hears them.

Your pet spider was not in the direct path of the microwave energy which is focused in the center of the glass plate. This is not to say that it was completely out of the energy path but it didn’t get the full dose of energy from the magnetron.

This was an interesting experiment, I just use a fly swatter to dispatch them, it’s quicker and final.
Your garden spider could outgrow the tarantula in time. Don’t forget a picture when it gets that big!

I liked our snow in January. Two inches looked beautiful in our neighborhood.
Gone the next day. Looking forward to the snow next year.

Hi Bob,

I’m glad that you had them removed and are recovering. God and Jean will be taking care of you for a while.
They didn’t look that bad last October but surgery makes them looks worse for a while.
I guess that you won’t be going fishing this week. 😳

Good mornin’, Greg and everybody. In case y’all haven’t heard, my mom is enjoying a beautiful, perfect day without pain today. She went to Heaven this morning. We are smiling through the tears because she is happy and free from Alzheimer’s forever. PTL. 🙏🏻

She is at peace now. Prayers to all of your family Randy.

It looks like you need a snowblower.
Or to borrow one.

I always have a jar of Vita pickled herring in the refrigerator.
I have made it from recipes but Vita gets it done. Buy, open & eat.
And yes, I have eaten 1 piece on the way to bed many times.

My brother had one. Can't say that I ever used it or even learned how.
Doggone it.... now that you have reminded me of that.... I'm going to have to go find one somewhere.... supposed to be "down-sizing" at this point, not adding to !.....at least it's not going to take up a lot of space, if I find one...lol.

I just looked up circular slide rule, Nope, not made any more, $50 for a used one.

Honestly, I don’t like cats. They’re pretty weird acting and my dog doesn’t like cats either. Do y’all ever get any Whitetails at your place? One of my sons lives in North Austin and the deer are out in the winter. Just curious.

No, we are in the Villages of Hidden Lake near Lake Pflugerville.

I looked up the wild rabbits that we have, they are brown like a domestic Belgian. I could never get close enough to lift their tail and see if it was white 😁 😁. My dog might know but he doesn’t talk much, he just reminds us for breakfast, dinner and snacks.
