Yes. Use them all the time. Great for showing structure, depth changes/points. As for actually seeing fish accurately you’ll need to upgrade to mega 360 or live scope. I run mega 360 and I can see fish with certainty.

I’d appreciate if you would share any info you get when you get down there. I have a tournament coming on Fork in June. Thanks

Pick up some flukes or paddle tails that have a hook groove. That way you can have a exposed hook that sits in the groove and still weedless.

Tim, I’m a a Humminbird guy but on the issue on SI and DI. I always run SI on the console and DI on the bow. I’ll search with mega SI while cruising slowly and mark structure and fish. Great for docks and over hangs. Then while on the TM I’ll run mega DI and when I find what looks good I switch over to the mega 360.
The basic rule of thumb is SI on console and DI on bow.

So sorry Ben. My heart brakes for you. I lost my BF last year and it still hurts.

I buy all my gear from Tackle Warehouse! Rods, reels, lures etc... What I like about TW is the in depth description of all the products and the numerous reviews on each product. Also, TW has an incredible return policy. If you don’t like a certain product, it’s faulty, or you just want to exchange it for a different size, color or action, they deliver all their products with a return form and a UPS free return shipping sticker! Absolutely nothing to loose!

I’m with you... 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Braid is not for backing. Braid would be your main line with a fluorocarbon leader. Remember your knot is your weakest link. If bass fishing I use straight braid or straight fluorocarbon depending on whether I want a line to be more buoyant or less. Bass aren’t line shy but if your concerned about line shy fish stick with fluorocarbon.

It doesn’t help there is no universal rating
One by manufacturers medium is another manufacturers heavy or light

Also people need to learn the difference between action and power. I see a lot of anglers bend the end of the rod and believe that’s the rod power.
