Good morning Doug and everyone.
76° and sunny here, going up to 95°later, with some storms tonight and tomorrow. Have a great Thursday and stay safe everybody.

Morning guys, up late last night doing battle with another Armadillo, When I pulled the boat in from fishing saw one scamper around the corner of the house. Set up till 1:30 but finally got a shot at him and did that joker in. No more digging up my lawn for that one. That makes 5 in two weeks, we have a armadillo problem but I'm doing my part.

Very nice work, I remember my Grandmother and her friends doing a quilting bee when I was young. The ladies would work all weekend to finish a new quilt. I'm still sleeping under one of those quilts.

Was that in the Eastern sky Ivey. Seems to me a year or so ago saw something like that going from South to North in the Eastern sky 🤔. Very interesting

These were going South to North but in the western sky, it is what the call the Starlink satellites. Really strange I saw them twice this week and never before

Fished for a while last night and got a look at a string of satellites very strange looking. Lightning in the distance shows the tree line. This is the second time I've ever seen this and both times was this week. There were a lot more but didn't get the phone out quick enough to tape them all.

Do they really work and if so, what size, colors, ect are the best. I would think if they go down deep, they wouldn't glow anyway!!! Please advise!! Fact or Fiction??? LOL

I tie some of my jigs with glow in the dark eyes, I can't say they work much better but I fished with a friend a few weeks ago. We both used the same lure, a jig, his without the glow eyes and I caught two to his one. Think I had 10 he had 5 so something worked. made a believer out of him now every time we go he digs through my jig box and finds one with the glow in dark eyes. As long as you hold a light on it for a few seconds the eyes glow under water.

CB, I've made my own plastic bait molds with Bondo before. Simply glue the lure you want to imitate in the bottom of a flat container, I usually use a 3m electrical tape container. Fill with Bondo making sure to fill all the gaps then allow to dry over night. The next day remove the Bondo pull the plastic out and you've got a mold. This method is only good for a pour type bait but with a little ingenuity you can put a hole and top to make injection molds. This sounds kinda corny but it works. I've mainly done thin with jig trailers but it can be improved for other baits.
I'll melt old baits on a hot plate to pour new baits with so there's not a lot of cost to it at all.

I just finished a 7'6" rod for a friend all my stuff comes from Mud Hole or Jann's Craft

Very nice bronze backs!

Interesting how some of these TVA lakes reach 80 degree plus temps. A friend who lives on Norris said they were mid eighties last week. Water temps around my area on Tellico lake (Near Tellico Marina) are high fifties as recent as last week.

Thanks for sharing the photos.

The surface temps are what reaches the highest, done 20ft it's still cool. The were releasing water last week and the water in the river below the Dam was in the mid to high 50's.

I got some of them. Little pop. That's all

That's how I would describe them a pop minus the loud crack that comes along with the standard .22 round. The only problem I've had is they don't pack enough punch and sometimes don't eject the shell in my semi auto but that's OK too cause I'm just shooting one round at a time

Try a strong pellet gun. That’s how I get rid of the possums.

Been two days now with no sign of them so maybe after killing 4 last week, I have thinned them around my house. I got some of the sub sonic 22 rounds and they are quiet enough I don't think they'll bother the neighbors.

Nice catching. Them are skinny. You should let them put some weigh on then have some fun. Ha Ha

Yea, this time of year they do slim down but come late fall, winter into spring the'll fatten up again. They still got a LOT of fight in them even slimmed down.

I always loved night fishing at Center Hill. Unbelievable how many stars you can see without the city lights.

I was out with the wife this past weekend and she said it looked like some thin clouds moving in. She was seeing the Milky Way that's almost impossible to see when city lights are around. It is amazing getting away from the lights and we have a good bit of light pollution

Once the dew falls the skeeters and most of the other bugs go away and we had a early heavy dew fall last night.

Good to hear from you again. I've got to try some night fishing one day.

It's a whole different world at night around my place.. No ski boats or other boats for that matter, think I saw two boats last night. I've always loved being under the stars, I could sit and look for hours and never make a cast.

Our water surface temps are at 87* now so day time fishing is really tough, slip out after dark and the fish are a little more cooperative, no crowd at the ramp and no boat traffic on the water. My kind of fishing.
