Went out for a while last night and had a really good night. Caught 12 and lost 8 because still can't get the hook set with the pinched nerve in my neck. Only took a few Pics but had some nice ones. Supposed to see a neurosurgeon tomorrow see if he can help out with the nerve thing. Hope he does better than the last two DR.'s I've talked to. the last gave me an epidural injection in my neck. While it helped some my arm and right hand are still numb with some really intense pain to go along with it. Good to get back out for a night, and it was a pretty good one.

If anyone has a trick for getting rid of Armadillos please pass it on, I've tried live traps with no success so I went to the 22 rifle. killed two so far but shooting at 3 in the morning might get the neighbors upset, would like a silent way to rid the yard of these intrusive rascals, they've dug my yard up like someone been there with a tiller.

Nice catching Mike! Sorry to hear that you're still suffering from that nerve issue. Good luck with the Neurosurgeon, I hope he can help.
I didn't know there were Armadillos in Tennessee. I thought they lived in a desert climate. Good luck with them buddy.

Nice looking smallies, Ivey! Really hoping the 3rd doc's a charm and this time can offer real relief.

They really just arrived in the past few years and they are a nuisance to say the least. I've spent the past couple nights up to 4am just to get a shot at them and I'm running out of steam.

Maybe a pellet gun would do the trick? I used to have a. 22 caliber one that was pretty powerful. Definitely quieter than a. 22 rimfire.

Not sure a pellet would penetrate that tough shell. These guys are tough, the one I shot last night, dead center, made it a good 75' down in the back yard before it expired and I'm using hollow points. Maybe one shot at a time won't bother the neighbors to much it's an acre on the side I'm shooting. Luckily I'm shooting almost straight down off the deck so no stray bullets, the only two shots I've made ended up inside the target.

Some nice, healthy fish, Ivey.
Pertaining to the armadillos, have you tried.22 subsonic rounds. They are quieter. If that’s not what you want, potentially a crossbow would be effective. Just a thought.
Good luck.

I was thinking more of a head shot, or a gut shot when they stand up. You're probably right about the heavy shell. You could always make a home made suppressor.

Nice ones Ivey.
Good luck with your neck brother.
This darn wreck has my neck all jammed up. Very limited range of motion. Getting too old for this crap.
Again good luck πŸ‘ 🎣

Hum, home made Suppressor sounds like a good idea. I'm shooting with a flashlight so there's just enough light to see in through a scope. Whatever I come up with I'm at war with Armadillos and it's 2 to 0 now.
