Check on the red tide condition. Toxic stuff.
Be damn careful bank fishing fresh water.

I really recommend mangrove fishing. It's quiet, the fishing is good, Wild life is amazing, Take a GPS or hire a guide. I don't care for off shore party boats. Too many people, and I have a tendency for getting sea sick when it blows rough..

agreed. . . I eat fried chicken livers over catfish every time. You never know what that cat put in it's mouth. Patooy.

I think fancy (realistic) baits catch more fishermen than fish.
I also think scent is more important than appearance.
It's winter. . . . I think a lot about fishing.

The ONLY good thing about having children, is that is the ONLY way you get grandchildren.
This is why you must allow your children to survive their teenage years.

Like the NBA, it depends on the style of the toss.
An overhand toss will end with a hard impact.
A soft underhand toss will gain a lot of height.
A hook shot also adds a lot of height.
A underhand with a 180 degree turn has a lot of class added, esp in a kayak.

I really wanted a 16' Bass tracker, but can't afford one.
If you add the camper canvas option, you have a great weekender that doubles.
And, it does rain in Fla sometimes.
Downside of camper canvas is that it also works as a sail.

Indian River is highly toxic. Don't eat the seafood.

Where on earth do you find Oaxaca cheese?
And do you also have access to chapulines? (sp?)

Sure sounds like down home to me.

Yeah, I fell in love with the place. . . except for the hurricane (storms),
And something called Sazerac is very addictive.

Their cuisine is a mix of American Indian, African, and French. The only thing I didn't eat was the nutria. If you like your seafood slightly spicy, give Cajun a try. It's seriously good, and a boil is great for a summer family gathering.

I spent 3 weeks in Houma la learning to cook Cajun.
The seafood was fantastic.
The Cajun people, the friendliest in the world.
I fell in love with zydeco music, Sunday afternoons on the patio munching shrimp and crawfish fresh from the water cooked in a boil, and washed down with a cold beer.
Best place ever for a relaxed vacation.

Peeing out doors when the temp is -16 is not an option for me.
Great idea for rod holders.
Kroger gets $18/lb for those perch. I refuse to buy it.

I never had that problem. And I can't offer an opinion on which is better, 'cause I've never had a Cuban.

I like to make my own rigs which I use nothing but fluoro, plus I like lures. I tie a fast snap clip to my braided line. And I use a good swivel for the rigs. Plus most of the lures attach directly on the clip.
This allows me to swap things out fast, more time in the water. Hopefully more fish as well. So far surf fishing from the beach and the bay it's worked great for me.

I agree, I always use a clip for fast changes.

And, I have hand tremor. It takes me forever to tie a knot, and I have to rest my hands on the table.
