I would recommend looking at Strike King brand. They have a large selection to choose from and aren’t too expensive. The 5XD and 6XD size will cover most fishing... Pick a Shad Color, Crayfish Color and a Bluegill Color. These three colors will cover most fishing needs..,
Yes that’s what a lot of fisherman do is idle around looking for the bait fish. Then start looking for game fish. Some even use Google Maps, paper maps and local information from bait shops and other fisherman.
