Welcome to the Forum, Mondell. Whenever you have a sudden drop in temp. most fish will shut down for awhile.
Thank you for your reply .
Whenever you have a sudden drop in temp. most fish will shut down for awhile. That can be true ,but just a temp drop be itself will not do it. Example we had that this weekend ,but i fished on sat. and caught 20 nice bass , 1 catfish, and an old cast net. If u still have good cloud cover the fishing can still be good. But if u have a sudden drop in temp and skies r clear with strong north wind ,then it can be trouble.
Most lakes, a good time to start employing fall tactics is late August to early September. That’s when the water temps begin to cool and bass move from their deeper summer haunts to shallower water.”
The front will come through Alabama sometime tomorrow hopefully with rain. We've had 14 day's or more with the heat hitting around 100 most day's with 7 over 100-103 within 7 last days. Water temp is close if not 90 degrees. I plan on trying Wed. or Fri. if I get my trailer and boat repaired. Front will have gone through and the water temp should have dropped some.
