In Indiana $17.00 for a lifetime fishing license for those 65 and older
I use a 5.5 foot Berkeley ultra light to fish for bass often. It has 6lb line snd I use spinning jigs with white or chartreuse grubs. Kept the drags loose until you set the hook. I have caught many three lb bass with this set up. A three lb bass on this set up is a blast.
Senkos are what I gave the best results with. Wacky style is very popular now but I have caught many bass using a Carolina Rig, Texas Rig, and drop shot. Find the style you like best and have fun
My wife and I have rented a cabin at Chain o Lakes State Park in northern Indiana in a couple of weeks. Anyone here ever fished these lakes. What can I expect to catch. Like every fisherman I want to catch the “BIG ONE”. However size is really not that important to me. I just love the tug of a fish on my line
This was caught on a lure that was as big as the bass
I caught my largest northern on a #9. Great lure
In Indiana you can buy a life time license at 65 and you do not need a trout stamp. $17.00
The little fellow caught a much larger bass on the other side of the pond which we released but I had left the phone in the car and could not take a picture. He wanted to make one last cast before we left and was excited to catch this fellow. Great morning we caught 17 total and released them all.
Took my grandson fishing today. A few bites but landed no fish. However we both had a good time. Water is still a bit chilly here in central Indiana
