I'm talking about the rabid craws. I'm sorry . mind was in 2 places at once as usual. Had my granddaughter talking to me at the same time.
On May 21, 2020 I posted about the rage crawls. I didn't do well on Large mouth with them. White and yellow perch did pretty well and blue gill only liked the blue and black ones. With that said .... I did very well on smallmouth last year in rocky shallow areas on the Susquehanna River. Every trip I would start out with other things and end up with them. One trip nobody was getting bites so my friend and I used these and we were catching large amounts of fish qhile no one else was. They seemed to work better when the water was colder. During the summer I didn't do all that great with them.
In my opinion they held up ok. They are soft so carry some super glue if you are going to use them. They are on the expensive side like $5-6 dollars . are they worth it ?? Well I guess I would say id buy them again at a much lower price if available.
In conclusion there are other baits that do well or better in other circumstances. They do catch fish. But the price isn't worth it. I went thru a total of 6 packs in a year . 3 of each color.
Remember this is my opinion and other people could do well with them. I probably won't buy them again but you never know.
Nice catch.. Im jealous.. Haven't been able to go since December.
Ive Bought 2 nice rods for largemouth and snakeheads. 1st one shimano sellus 7'1" which runs about 50 bucks. Its a med- heavy fast action. 2nd is the abu garcia vengence 7' which also runs about 50 bucks. It also is a med-heavy fast action. I've got them both in baitcaster and spinning. Nice rods for the money.

Hi Rob. I had a canoe for awhile. Unfortunately i loaned it to my son in law n it n it mysteriously disappeared. 2 yrs ago i picked up a 9' plastic pond boat. Alot more stable n will take up to 5hp ob. I use a 55lb minkota on it. Got it for places i can't get my 17'er n trailer into. Fun lil ride.I can stand up flip n pitch all day
Its funny I've got a casting deck and 35 lb trolling motor. Motor not mounted in this picture. It's sitting in the shed. Lol. The redneck that I am. Lol
Grizzly, I do more casting out of my canoe than pitching. But I do some pitching on my buddies boat.
I suggest you head to the local tackle shop and start there. Thats what I do when I'm new to an area. Since I can't help ya living in Maryland.
My brother uses the veritas rods only spinning though. He loves them. Ive used his once or twice and it had a nice feel to it.
Good luck on your purchase and I will await your update.
A buddy of mine runs kastking stuff and loves them. Me I run abu garcia vengence rods and shimano sellus rods also. Mh with a fast tip. Nice rods starting about $50. Ive put them through the paces and they have stood up real well. Ive also been looking at kastking stuff also and just havent pulled the trigger yet. Good luck on whatever you get and tight lines
There are more coming don't you worry. I save them up from summer for something to do in the winter. Lol. Not a cold weather fisherman at all. So I sit and wait.
I've got a few in reserve for a rainy day. They will be coming soon
There ya go !!!! Enjoy !!!
