Higgs, I'm in the low country where it doesn't get quite so cold. I have success fishing for large mouth bass with a plastic worm on a jig.
Sounds like a new tradition Gordon. Very nice.🙂
Merry Christmas Gordon (et al). I really love all the pictures. Tight lines evrryone.
Thanks Gordon. You pick some really good ones to share.
Happy Birthday Fred! 12/14 is my oldest son's birthday as well (37). I hope you had a great day, after warming up. 🙂
I like Sawmill creek. There's a public launch and I almost always catch Spot (Redfish) on a slack tide. Welcome to the platform and good luck.
Gary, there's a pier on the Beaufort side of the 170 bridge. I've heard good things but never fished there. I generally fish the fresh water ponds in my community and go on charter trips for inshore and offshore fishing. I think redfish and drum are around. There are also flounder and sea trout. We're also about to get into the sheepshead season. If you want to fish Maye river, there's a pier at the end of Calhoun Street where you can also charter a trip.
What a great catch! Thanks for sharing the pic.
Welcome Dude! I hope you and Bucky hook up and limit out.
Rolling through Florence on my way home to Okatie, I found a nice seafood restaurant on set 51 names Tubbs. I had fried flounder for 18.95 and could only eat half of what the gave me. Worth a try if you're in the Florence area.
Nice catch! I've fished there as well.
That is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
