Nice catching Bucky, but sorry to hear about the phone. I keep mine wedged in a folded down seat. Easy to reach in and grab it, but it won't bounce or slide out.

I keep it in the seat on the right.

I keep mine in a zip lock with some air left in it so it will float if lost overboard.

I found a floating dry box that's just the right size for my wallet, phone and keys with a orange float so it can be seen easily 🎣🎣

I like the way you have your boat set up Fred, and a floating dry box like Chucay mentioned sounds like a good idea

Thanks. It's a little crowded for a 14 footer, which is why I usually fish alone. After we move down south, I'll be buying another, bigger one.

If the size of the water is the same there as it is here a 14’ boat is fine. Also, it’s easier to handle, move around, store, etc. and most likely there are times you are ready to go fishing at short notice and others are not.

All good for you moving south, at times I wish I was. I would be with you and get a larger boat because I would be saltwater fishing.

Fred, how far south are you going to be moving,, come on down to Central Florida and we'll catch some of theses big old bass around here and I buy and sale boats as a hobby ( got 9 right now) just need time to make them like new before I sale them, I like around a 16-17' that seems to be the right size for two to fish comfortably πŸ‘
This is a few that I have the bass tracker is just needing cleaned up and a battery, and the other one is a stick steering with a 25 horse Johnson runs great, I'm replacing the transom, flooring and rebuilding the trailer it'll be like new whenever I get done.. the last one I sold about a month ago.. just need to find time to get back on them.πŸ˜‚

We're moving to SC near Lake Marion. It's definitely bigger water than anything around here. I'll start with a Bassboat, around 18ft. The northeast side of the lake has several big creek arms that you can hunker down in when the weather is too rough for the mainlake, and fish in there. After we get settled in for a couple years I might pick up something bigger to hit the shoreline with, that will also work in the lake during the winter (Striper season). I'll set both of them up to be easier to launch alone.

We'll be anchored up in SC Chuck, on the north east side of Lake Marion. We will be coming down to Florida visiting friends and family. Jacksonville, Daytona, and Cape Coral are on the agenda, in a couple years, and hopefully we can stop and meet you and Kay. Where is your farm located, in central Florida buddy? Hopefully we'll have an opportunity to visit and get after some Florida Bass.
Wow, I guess you do enjoy that hobby, with 9 in process. It looks like you do good work. The last shot of the Whaler type boat is gorgeous.

Fred, I was in SC for most of the 1980s and fished both Santee-Cooper lake frequently and used the same 14 foot boat that I had when I moved down there. Two reasons I moved back were my dad's health and the humidity down there. Good luck with your move and future fishing there. I know the fishing will be good.
