Welcome to the group. I live in Southern California and do not have advice for your fishing in the southbay. good luck
I think you should use what you like the best and can tie fairly quickly. I like the double uni knot and can tie it in the dark. My lantern is used to locate my beer :)
LOL! I can't wait to use the second one about hiding things.
Welcome to the forum,
I just came back from a fishing and a white water rafting trip up there. My daughter works in Yosemite so the next time I am up there, I'll give you a shout out.
Wow, I guess my 2 times without a fish caught wasn't bad. I will stop complaining. Yesterday I caught a 3.25 lb bass which for me was large.
When I am up North again I will give you a shout out. My daughter is a guide in Yosemite so I go see her a lot.
Wow spirit, where do you live? If In California let me know.
I think I am fortunate, I went on 2 trips to the lake without catching any fish. I changed bait, location, time, distance of cast, but I found them.
I see like me others have the favorite hobby of drinking.
My wife and I ride bicycles, they are pedal assisted since we retired. I used to do triathlons and the training was painful so now I go out and just enjoy myself.
I have a siberian husky and she is full of energy, even at almost 11 years. If anyone ever gets a husky or is thinking about it, I run her on a bike at a 6 mph pace for 4 miles. She still has energy.
I saw someone in here does pole wrapping. I want to do this, how do you start? Is it hard on your hands?
I use the double Uni knot. Make sure if you use this knot that the twists go in opposite directions. The mono side I use 8-10 twist, braid side 4-5. Youtube has great videos on this as well.
Hi everyone,
Thank you for the tips on the fishing. I found them, last night I caught 40 fish with one bluegill measuring 11.5 inches.
Abu Garcia Revo SX Baitcast Reel
Does this look like a good baitcaster?
I am following this post as well because I need the same advice.
I’ll go with you. I live in Oc
ha, but I released them all back, most of them were fed! Clever comment
Hi,
2 weeks ago I caught 28 bluegill and 2 Bass at my local lake, Laguna Lake in Southern California. Now I am not catching anything and tried different bait and locations on the lake. Cast far, cast shallow, different times of the day.
Where did the fish go?
Such problems of a early retirement :)
