I was frocked to 3rd Class Gunners Mate under the the guns of the USS Wisconsin when she was still mothballed in Philly. I was on the USS Coontz that was in the shipyard back then.

Here is an old one I picked up for $600.00. It's decking and carpet were rotted. I pulled up all the old wood and replaced the deck with pressure treated deck board. I then coated them with truck liner and laid down new carpet. The outside needed a little TLC. A few spots needed some fiberglass and sanding because it looked like someone had it in the river along with a new prop. The carb needed rebuilt and it runs like a top. It's a tri-hull with a little 25 hp on it, but its fast.

I'm fishing this tournament tomorrow night at the Cherokee Dam from 7:30 until 2:30 a.m. and I haven't fished a tournament for money since I left the FLW tour. I mean don't get me wrong I know my fish I know the seasonal patterns and you know all the clouds in the wind and all that but it's just getting back into it because I open my own restaurant and does not leave time for me to fish. But I appreciate the information and I will adjust and adapt accordingly thank you very much

I fish the upper parts of Cherokee from the Holston River to just south of Poor Valley Creek and I have had luck with the wacky rigged Senkos and some Texas Rigged soft baits. Haven't had much luck getting them to bite on the hard baits yet, so I would start out with the soft baits first.

I have 4 Sharkey III, bought 4 more for gifts, they all are very smooth, cast great. All are 3-4 years old now and never had a problem with any of them. One of the best brake systems I've seen on a spinning reel. Keep fishing. DEEJAY

Yeah, the brake system on them is great compared to the really high dollar stuff out there.

I just bought a Kastking Speed Demon that is 10.5:1 ratio and a Lews med-hvy 7'2" rod for flipping into the brush. It's the fastest reel I have seen and seems very strong and durable. The $115.00 price tag was amazing.

Hey all, So my uncle is an avid fisherman and recently I've been getting into it too. Everything's going great, except his car is a little on the small side, so when we put the rods in the trunk, the tips are always shaking around and getting in my face in the passenger seat.

I've seen roof holders on Amazon that I guess I could save up for and get him but the ones I have seen are sitting around $200 and I was wondering if any of you small car owners have found a cheaper solution for this issue. Thanks!

Bass Pro has those rod holders for cars that put the rods inside the car on the roof liner. $22.00 If you don't mind driving with them running the inside of the car above your head.

A quick rule of the thumb is dark colored worms in muddy waters and light colored worms in clear water. I stock my box with the watermelons, green pumpkins, and the black/blues with flake.

Good News, Bass Pro bought up Gander Mtn and will run it as a division like Cabelas.
