Went carping in 81 degree Carnegie Lake this evening on warm, sunny day with a moderate north wind. Mosquitoes π¦ were biting. Squashed a bloody one. 21 other fishermen were at the lake, canal and river. A great blue heron was near my spot when I arrived and still there when I left. Saw it catch and swallow 7 bluegills. Threw out a can of corn for chum then caught and released 9 bluegills including a double, 18β and 17β channel catfish, a largemouth bass and a yellow perch. Took pics.
Looks like a great day to me πππ

My husband & I are going for a weekend trip in Happy Jack, AZ and were looking for any information on fishing in the area. Where to go, what type of fish & bait/lures to use, any info is appreciated. Thanks!
There are 3 nice trout lakes near Happy Jack, they are all off of control road 300, Chevlon, Knoll, and Bear Canyon, long dirt road drives but worth it!
[quote=NJ219bands]Today the Delaware River at Trenton was at record flow for this date. The previous record was set in 1945. I went carping in 84 degree Carnegie Lake this evening on a hot, humid, sunny day with no wind. The lake, canal and river were still muddy and flooded. Threw out a can of corn π½ for chum, then caught and released 3 bluegills, 2 musk turtles, a redeared slider and a brown bullhead with Bowl and Basket whole kernel corn π½ on 12 lb test line. Landed 67 turtles π’ this year. Mosquitoes π¦ were biting. Fish π were jumping. Rowers were rowing. Birds were nearby.[/quote
Sounds and looks like an evening well spentππ
