My friend caught one baby bass on a drop shot and I caught 4 bass......two of which hopped off the hooks at the bank and went back in the water but I'm gonna count them anyways. Went carping in 81 degree Carnegie Lake this evening on warm, sunny day with a moderate north wind. Mosquitoes 🦟 were biting. Squashed a bloody one. 21 other fishermen were at the lake, canal and river. A great blue heron was near my spot when I arrived and still there when I left. Saw it catch and swallow 7 bluegills. Threw out a can of corn for chum then caught and released 9 bluegills including a double, 18” and 17” channel catfish, a largemouth bass and a yellow perch. Took pics.

There are 3 nice trout lakes near Happy Jack, they are all off of control road 300, Chevlon, Knoll, and Bear Canyon, long dirt road drives but worth it!
